The game is good, but the dev refuses to release their super big update they've been working on for like a year, so the game caps out at 2k players max. 32v32 and 64v64 game modes might as well not exist after certain times of the day. which really sucks, because the game is super fun! the player base has dropped off a cliff though. hopefully when they release the super mega update in 2026, all 12 remaining players will have a real good time with it :)

Funny how AAA shooters last few years tried sell you more stuff after you bought the game for 60-80 dollars/euros and this game only costs you 15 euros and you can have fun playing and unlocking more stuff. This game feels like year 2013 in a good way.

first battlefield-style game since battlefield 2 that I've actually fully enjoyed. this is what happens when the focus is gameplay and the community, instead of graphics and $$$. A+++++++

I knew the game was great when a medic came running to me and said "let me touch you like you were my sister" while Alabama music was blasting… Finally!!!!
A game with a mentally stable community!
It's like all the good Battlefield bits without any of the cancer. This is what Battlefield 2042 should have been. It's crazy how when you focus on the fundamentals, you make a banger game. Insane how major studios have truly lost their way.
My favorite part of the game is the fact that it feels like straight up warfare, there’s voice chat so there’s frequently people screaming and giving orders/communicating and also giving enemies locations away, theres explosion and sounds of helicopters and cars everywhere, shots and destruction too. It’s awesome and also just so fun.
The proximity voice chat is HILARIOUS and you're really encouraged to use it naturally, that's super awesome. I really loved how dedicated the hardcore medic players are in this game. On a certain match when 6 of us were holding a point a medic just in the back crouched down and started reciting Don Quixote quotes, and when one of us got downed he stopped and just repeated the words "Tis but a mortal scratch thy soul must stay firm and now relax your anus" and just like that we were back in action. It just seems like a requirement for the medics in the matches I've played to be full-time horny in this game and honestly I'm all for it. If you pull a mans soul back from the depths of hell you deserve a piece.
It’s bloody wonderful, a low effort, no commitment fps is exactly what I needed to fill my weekends with hilarious content and no stress. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the investors that fund triple A game studios games. This game doesn't have a battle pass, seasons, micro transactions, and yet for a while it was one of the top played games on Steam for shooters. It just focuses on what the whole point of a game should be: fun. Unfortunately, knowing EA, the only thing they are gonna learn from battlebit is "OH, SO WE DONT HAVE TO MAKE GOOD GRAPHICS ANYMORE?"
There are so many viable playstyles that you can sort of create games within the game. It’s a true sandbox. Sure there are the stereotypes like the Vector Medic sweat, the 1000m Sniper tryhard, the window camping M4 players, etc. But there’s also so much room to be creative. Battlebit’s best trait is the fact that you can play it literally however you want, and it works. In a lot of games having an unorthodox playstyle puts your team at a disadvantage & negatively effects the experience of others (think Shotgun only Val/CSGO players) but in Battlebit it all just adds to the experience.
Another fact in terms of mass appeal is that there are no ranks and there is no penalty for leaving matches. It’s a true casual game. The second you stop having fun you can just leave the match and you’re not even really inconveniencing other players given the size of the lobbies. It’s a masterpiece of a play-for-fun game and that’s rare these days where everything is super competitive and min-maxed to hell. That being said I also love how grindy the progression system is and I love that your lifetime stats are tracked.
The graphics might scare some people away, but once you play it and have fun, you realize graphics are not as important as gameplay and having fun. It has less bugs and more content at early access than other games that cost $70 that also contain microtransactions for dumba*s skins.
I think the game has peaked in terms of popularity and the initial “everyone is playing it” / front page of Twitch honeymoon period is coming to a close. But any time a game blows up the way Battlebit did, all you need is a fraction of that playerbase to stick around long term and the game will be healthy.
It honestly sets a gold standard for what early access should look like. Rough around the edges, great core gameplay, responsive developers, pretty frequent updates, and most importantly a ton of fun. I think in a year or two we will have the best BattleField experience ever created or will exist.
I truly have not had this much fun playing or excitement to play an FPS since Bf4 / Halo 3 / CoD MW2. Obviously, there are things to work on, but the guts under the hood are all there and the sky is the limit with this game I believe. The devs knocked it out of the park.
I think it's as close to being a perfect experience as any game of this type can get. No really heavy meta, lots of friendly proximity chat and fun episodes all around at a much lower price than other similar games. It's rare to find a game that's still fun to play when I'm losing.
It's not just fun. It's an addiction to torture. Look, die. Drive, die. Hey got a kill! Die. Finally get a chopper, die. New gun? Die. Best 20$ I've spent!

Literally the greatest online, round-based, first person shooter made in the last 5 years. If you're playing COD or Battlefield or literally any battle royale you're missing out. Yeah yeah they look like roblox characters. Get over it. Graphics can be sacrificed for better mechanics than the games you're currently playing.
