was driving a mitsubishi lancer evo 4 down the shutoko revival project, meet this guy on a green skyline, I crash he wait, he crash I wait, we drive around for one hour straight until the server resets without chatting.

Base game itself doesn't offer too much.
1. Install Content Manager
- Custom Launcher/Management/Graphics app (Install in Root folder)
2. Get some custom Tracks/Cars (Drag Zip/Rar into Content Manager, Install)
3. Select Track/Car & Drive
Content manager is nice because it skips the loading screens/credits getting you in game quicker.

Assetto Corsa is one of the best racing sim out there, but NOT out of the box!
As soon as you download the game, Install:
1. Content Manager - Good launcher + Mod support + CSP (Custom Shaders Patch)
2. SOL - Dynamic Weather + Filters
Now Assetto Corsa is ready to be EXPERIENCED!
Doing that will make your graphics incredible, replace the shit interface/main menu of the game, add easy mod support and various tweaks and fixes! You will always launch the game from Content manager and you would be overwhelmed by the amount of stuffs!
I do not qualify as a good racing sim player, but I do have experience with Forza Motorsport 7 and Project Cars. I must admit this game is much harder initially, it took me hours to just be able to even drive on track. The AI is very very hard to compete so I still play at lowest AI difficulty and they can still sometimes pose challenge to me (using Controller, keyboard doesn't very efficient). So unsurprisingly time trial are lot easier than races. XD
Its very unforgiving game since there is no rewind and no dynamic race line (like in Forza).
For all new players or arcade racers like me, I would suggest to just play at lowest AI difficulty, "Gamer" preset and enable race line. Initial track and car can be shit so don't discourage yourself as you will get better cars in later stages.
This game is sim racer, DO NOT expect More W = Better position!

"Assetto corsa" This game is for people who like sim racing and cars or drifting but if you think you need steering wheel you're wrong I play on controller with assist and sometimes on keybord wiht mouse :)

Assetto Corsa is a car simulation racing game designed with an emphasis on a realistic racing experience with support for extensive customization and moddability. As a person who is not much into cars, and who played this game with a controller, I still recommend it because I enjoyed playing it, but I emphasize on the need of "Content Manager", because without it, the game is horrific: slow main menu, limited cars and tracks, less customization options, bad controller setup etc. "Content Manager" offers much more content and customization on all aspects: tracks, cars, graphics, audio, settings, etc. and there are hundreds of good game servers alongside their correspondent Discord servers. 8/10 cruising experience.

This game has a modding scene like no other.
I am literally creating/modeling a 3D recreation of my city where I live in.
Now I can finally do a trick what every young Latvian wants - wrap your car around a pole in IKEA parking lot.
