Unless you're looking for e-sports quality competitive online multiplayer leagues, this is the BEST sim out there for force feedback wheels; it detects different wheels, pedals, shifters, handbrakes (on different USB devices!) seamlessly; with the must have community-made Content Manager, changing settings for switching out wheels (F1 vs Drift) or accessories (H Shifter Vs Paddles) is easier than in any other game.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRY THIS GAME FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. You have to be comfortable downloading mods, it's not hard to do, but the game is unplayable without them. However, with them, the game is beautiful and fun.
2. First step is you have to get the Content Manager mod, it's essential. Just look it up on YouTube and they will have links to where to download it. It is 100% free for the 'lite' version which is all you need. You will never open the game straight up after that, just load up content manager and that is where you launch everything from.
3. This game can be enjoyed without a racing wheel. I have a PS5 controller and after looking up the right settings for the controls it works really well. Do I think a wheel would make it 10x better? Yes. Do I not want to commit to a $300 wheel yet? Also yes.
4. Some online modes are fun but I would start with the single player challenges in Content Manager. They start you off with slower cars which is very important in this game. It's not like Forza where all cars are fairly easy to drive, this game is realistic which means each car has very specific driving capabilities and the fast cars will get away from you easier. Still try them online though they are fun!
5. If you want to play with people or online, it is not as easy as just hitting 'queue for match.' You will want to look up beginner-friendly discord groups that put on races. If you do want to just hop into a match, it can be fun but don't think you will have a legit race going on 99/100 times.
6. Last tip: Get the Shutoku Revival Project mod, it is the one where you drive through traffic and it is very fun. Look up on YouTube how to download it.
For the review just know it is a very fun game, but it's not like other high-end racing games that have stories or progress to complete. This is a sandbox-style game that is all about realistic controls. Basically it is what you make of it and you might have to do some digging at first to see what other mods/communities you want to join to get the most out of the experience.

its okay on its own but if you get content manager, add the Shutto Expressway map and drive at night listening to spotiy, its amazing

IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRY THIS GAME FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
Edit: You need the ultimate edition. It's a must because people who run private servers include those cars and you can't be on them without that edition (which is what you will be on for most of the time).

Asseto Corsa is just beautiful.
I have 116.3 beautiful hours of racing, cutting, drifting and more in this game on my logitech wheel, and I have to say, this game despite being released in 2014 still holds its ground today.
The physics are just amazing. if you play on a direct drive wheel or a wheel with force feedback, you feel like your can feel every single bump and change in the roads texture.
The mod support for this game is AMAZING. Content Manager mod is a MUST HAVE if you plan on getting this game. It allows you to easily join online servers, drag and drop cars from the web into the window for an easy install into your game, and it even has a car showroom to view your cars before playing. Not to mention all of the graphical mods and setting it allows you to change.
Without mods, this game can get boring, but even without them, you can still have a great and immersive experience with the cars and tracks.
If you are looking for more of a "racing simulator" and not a "driving simulator", then you should look into purchasing Asseto Corsa Competizione (ACC) which is all about GT Racing! I personally play ACC and it is amazing!
Overall, Asseto Corsa is nothing to laugh at for its age. It is still today in 2024 (in my opinion) the best car simulator out there!
