Aliens: Dark Descent
Dowódź żołnierzami w czasie rzeczywistym podczas walk z legendarnymi ksenomorfami, pracownikami chciwej Weyland-Yutani Corporation i mnóstwem przerażających istot dotychczas nieznanych we franczyzie Obcy.
Jesteś ich dowódcą. Oni są twoją bronią.
Przemierzaj rozległe, otwarte poziomy i likwiduj przeciwników, wydając rozkazy strategicznie i intuicyjnie – wystarczy naciśnięcie przycisku. Zachowaj ostrożność. Wrogowie dostosowują taktyki do twoich działań, a śmierć jest permanentna. Znajduj niespodziewane drogi do przetrwania, odkrywaj skróty, twórz strefy bezpieczeństwa i korzystaj z czujników ruchu w trwałym świecie, gdzie skutki twoich działań będą odczuwalne do końca gry.
Wybieraj skład drużyny, mając do dyspozycji różne klasy postaci. Rozwijaj bazę, w której możesz opracowywać nowe technologie i jeszcze bardziej doskonalić drużynę.
• Dowódź strategicznie i zmieniaj taktyki drużyny w każdej misji, biorąc pod uwagę zdrowie, psychikę i zasoby żołnierzy, by uniknąć nieodwracalnych strat i załamań nerwowych

HOLY SH*T WHAT A GEM!
This is probably the most unique and one of best games I have played in long time. Along with Alien Isolation, this is by far best Aliens game out there!
The vibe, music, ambient, environment... It's so gorgeusly made! This is work of art, where you realy want to explore everything out and not rush content. Level design and gameplay are so awesome I wish this game was twice longer!
Despite having fully armed squad of marines, you realy don't want to engage into fight as the Hive never stops to chase you down. Sometimes this game is pure horror-thriller when you sneak on map and try to avoid Xenomorphs at all cost with having your adrenaline and heart skyrocketing. This is realy refreshing after so many Aliens shooters where we were walking Rambo with lot of ammo - Here, we are always a prey!
I realy, realy hope they will gave us Aliens Dark Descent 2! If you have this game on your wishlist, do not wait any longer, it's realy worth it!
"It's over men! They are everywhere!" - 10/10! Highly recommending!

Aliens: Dark Descent is an impressively faithful adaptation of the Alien universe, capturing the look, sound, and oppressive atmosphere of the films with remarkable care. Much like Alien: Isolation, it feels less like a loose spin-off and more like an interactive extension of the movies themselves.
The environments are packed with familiar details - industrial corridors, motion trackers, harsh lighting, and relentless audio cues that echo the tension of Alien. As with Alien: Isolation, the developers clearly understood that authenticity is key - the technology, pacing, and sense of vulnerability all feel lifted directly from the films, even though Dark Descent takes a top-down, squad-based approach instead of first-person horror.
Where the game stumbles is its main story. The narrative is often heavy-handed and oddly disconnected from the subtle, grounded tone of the original Alien films, leaning into plot twists and character motivations that feel more generic sci-fi than true to the source material. This mismatch can pull you out of an otherwise carefully constructed world.
On the gameplay side, Dark Descent can be brutally difficult — especially on nightmare difficulty, but importantly, it’s fair. Mistakes are punished harshly, resources are scarce, and survival requires careful planning, yet deaths almost always feel earned. Success comes from learning the systems, respecting the threat of the xenomorphs, and maintaining discipline under pressure.
Despite its weak story, Aliens: Dark Descent succeeds where it matters most: atmosphere and tension. Like Alien: Isolation, it demonstrates that deep respect for the films’ tone and world can elevate a game into one of the most authentic Alien experiences available.

Polecam miłośnikom gier taktycznych i fanom Obcego.

I don't usually write Steam reviews, but after finishing this game, I felt I should leave a few words here. I RECOMMEND this game to everyone—not just *Aliens* fans. Major strengths of this title include its dark, engaging storyline. The heavy atmosphere and constant tension (especially on Nightmare difficulty) can really give you goosebumps. You lead your squad through various maps while simultaneously developing your base (conducting research and equipping your team with new weapons and gear). What's more, every squad member represents an investment; losing one hurts and affects you throughout subsequent missions. While playing, I found myself thinking about how to beat a specific map or upgrade my squad even while at work—something that hadn't happened to me since my school days (it’s a nice feeling to recapture that carefree childhood vibe). Getting back to the main point: it’s not a 10/10 game—it has plenty of bugs—but it is a fantastic experience. I had a great time with it.

This is THE game for all the fans of the Alien franchize. After the awesome "Isolation" this is the next best game ever. It is challenging, but at the same time satisfactory. I took a break after finishing it for the first time, and now I'm on the middle of the Game+ mode and I'm having as much - if not more - fun as the first time.
