Hopping from floaty island to island, killing beasts and trying not to get too hungry or too sad. There are weapons, and bosses and other villagers to talk to. Kinda rough, but frequently updated.

a lot of jank (especially if you get crazy with the move speed) but a fun little game when you dont want to think too hard. I wish there was a way to improve the upgrades with stat points or something like that. At this price point though, a great little game for a few runs here and there.
*Note, the camera is very different than other games, it take a bit to get used to. I reduced mouse sensitivity by a lot to make it comfortable. Once you play a few runs you adjust though

I've been playing since it came out in early access back in February 2021. It has come a long way since then. The last updates this year have really improved the game, making it more exciting and unique.
What sets Alien Life Simulator apart from other games like Crab Champions and Risk of Rain 2 is its loadout system instead of pre-defined characters. This combined with being able to choose where you go and more clearly choose the buffs you get by manipulating your alien's emotions.
This gives you a lot of freedom in how you play when it comes to your loadout. You can mix and match different guns, abilities, and even customize the look of your alien character before each run.

Alien life simulator is an ambitious new game that pulled out all the stops for an indy developer. I wasn't sure what I was going to get going into it
but after playing I was really impressed by this game. The movement is super crisp, as well as the run and gun style of killing my foes. This game makes you feel like an alien exploring a new planet.
Also, the platforming puzzle scattered around the maps that I found was a massive plus!

Great game, but still a few bugs need ironing out. Main gripe for me is that the key mapping changes I made to "interact" don't seem to work and it remains 'F' no matter what it's set to.

This game is pretty good at a fair price. This has the makings of being an addicting survivor game that you can pick up and play easily. So far, I've been able to play through the first level and beat it on the second try, but it was a bit tough. The game is fast paced, but you get into a rhythm and evade the enemies. I think overall, the game is good, and will need continued balancing and could use a bit more game juice. Definitely looking forward to continuing to play this
