Absolver is an online multiplayer combat experience where players are placed behind the mask of a Prospect by the ever-present Guides, the new rulers of the fallen Adal Empire that will determine your worth in joining their elite corps of enforcers. Prospects will wander forsaken lands, encountering others to learn new combat skills, acquire weapons and armor, and engage in solo duels and intense three-on-three battles.

Bought this on the night of the release. After 8 years I have come back, and was unable to put it down for 100 more hours. There is really nothing quite like absolver. Both in good and bad sense. Probably the most unique fighting game out there, yet falling just short of achieving longevity due to some poor balancing and design changes.
If you are going to pick this up, do yourself a favor, and start with Windfall (unless you are absolutely attached to the other two). Forsaken and Khalt are the parts that got left behind by the balancing.
Even with 30 people average, you can still find matches, at least in NA. For 3 dollars, it is worth a try.

great game just wish they didn't stop deving on it, the story felt like it was planning something but never got greenlighted to continue or something idk, felt like they're was more it was hinting of what's to come but hey i could just overthinking it. hope they at least come back one day to add some new moves and crossplay, i don't know if they could but being able to play with all platforms would be nice and increase the longevity of this game.

an absolutely outstanding game with stylish, deep-rooted combat-- only a shame its online community is dead with a portion of the content locked behind publicly-matchmade pvp and the game is agonisingly short (literally 2 hours)

This game is a masterpiece, in my opinion. I wish everyday that SloClap would revisit it and update it or even remaster it. Absolver is the only game, besides Sifu, that makes combat feel like you're actually fighting. The style and pacing of the attacks, being able to mix-and-match your deck of moves to create your own style, the schools of different base styles, getting experience from properly battling against an opponent that has a move you don't. The game is perfect in every way.
