Absolver is an online multiplayer combat experience where players are placed behind the mask of a Prospect by the ever-present Guides, the new rulers of the fallen Adal Empire that will determine your worth in joining their elite corps of enforcers. Prospects will wander forsaken lands, encountering others to learn new combat skills, acquire weapons and armor, and engage in solo duels and intense three-on-three battles.

This game is good, but it seems under cooked
Rating: 7/10
When I saw this game, I took it very lightly lol. Once I started playing this, I realised I was wrong. Now, after finishing the game, I realised I was right the first time. lol
The game mechanism itself is good. It basically has a lore, where you fight your way to the top. The learning curve was steep and I kept on dying. Then I learnt the game well as I levelled up and before I realised, the game was already over and I was not even sure if "that's it?". Online part of this is almost dead too.
So much of my time was wasted looking for bosses here & there, since there is no proper map or navigation, just a overview board of bosses and direction. I actually enjoyed it until it became annoying as I was unable to find hidden 2 boss. Anyways, I managed to do with online guide and I did enjoyed my time in the game, really. But it lacks content.
Gotta appreciate combat though, the highlight of this game. We create our own combination of chain attack moves, so combat combos are practically unlimited. If you are looking for a 6 hours of advance combat game and running around, its good game for you.

Wish they would make a second one of this already. Loved this game, if there was more content for it, I'd still be coming back to it with my friends

The game itself had a lot of potential and is very unique, i really dig the style.
It's a shame it's dead now because it had a pretty large multiplayer component since the map isn't huge and there weren't a lot of bosses :(

Absolver, my beloved <3
I can not recommend Absolver enough. For a game that was treated as nearly DOA to still have an active, albeit small, player base seven years later, is a testament to the depth of Absolver's gameplay. Absolver is a truly unique fighting game, taking pieces from the design of For Honor's combat, and infusing it with the unmitigated "cool" of martial arts.
Absolver manages to create a very unique fighting game system, centered around left/right and up/down mixups instead of low/overhead and grab/shimmy mixups like a traditional fighter. Considering that every player in absolver uses a custom built fighting style, you are not going to be able to know ahead of time what your opponent can/will do, and thus the gameplay of Absolver is centered around downloading and feeling out your opponent and their combat deck, rather than focusing on individual matchups.
In effect, Absolver has endless replay value. You can build decks specialized in taking down certain fighting styles, you can build decks that use only punches or only kicks, you can build decks that are all openings or decks that are all whiff punishes. Whatever your heart desires, you can make it, and nothing feels as good as winning a round with a solid hit from a deck you spent hours honing and perfecting.
In summary, Absolver is 100% worth the purchase. If you can't players for the PvP gamemodes, just hop in the discord and request a match, and you'll find somebody.

This game is still alive and kicking with an active, if small community. Get the Absolver+ mod!
Look into Absolver+'s Absolver Nightmare mod, a pve enhancement! <3

TLDR; Tactical progression * Intense (inter)action
This is EXACTLY the type of in-dept fighting game I have been wanting and not realizing.
Trying to find something similar to SIFU, and this is it and more.
I have just started playing and I already love it. My only wish at the moment is that MORE PEOPLE PLAY.
