Absolver is an online multiplayer combat experience where players are placed behind the mask of a Prospect by the ever-present Guides, the new rulers of the fallen Adal Empire that will determine your worth in joining their elite corps of enforcers. Prospects will wander forsaken lands, encountering others to learn new combat skills, acquire weapons and armor, and engage in solo duels and intense three-on-three battles.

Absolver had an unreal amount of potential, whats here is great.
Its what the devs DIDNT do that upset me, all they had to do was release more pve content, add new zones, expansions, etc.
The devs simply stopped making content, its like they didnt understand why the game was liked to begin with.
The game is a Pvepvp setting, and it worked great
They just needed to ramp up the narrative, and continue writing, what a shame. It could have been so much more, the pvp was great too, sad.

I don’t have any friends to play this with, but man, Absolver still brings back so much nostalgia. Back on my old PS, it was such a blast; getting beaten up, then revived by random strangers, or even getting totally ganged up on, haha. I really miss those times. This game was so unique and fun, and I wish it could be revived or, even better, that they’d make an Absolver 2.

wish that kepler published this instead of devolver, they literally let what could have been the best multiplayer fighting game die for no reason.

This is Probably one of the most underrated fighting games ever made, the unfortunate thing is that it was massively held back by the Publisher, there is basically unlimited potential for improvement for this game, but instead Devolver let it die. R.I.P Absover You will be missed.

One of the most nostalgic games for me. I believe absolver is one of the best fighting games ever I have never encountered a bug in the game the action can be difficult to some but overall one of my favourites

Absolver, my beloved <3
I can not recommend Absolver enough. For a game that was treated as nearly DOA to still have an active, albeit small, player base seven years later, is a testament to the depth of Absolver's gameplay. Absolver is a truly unique fighting game, taking pieces from the design of For Honor's combat, and infusing it with the unmitigated "cool" of martial arts.
Absolver manages to create a very unique fighting game system, centered around left/right and up/down mixups instead of low/overhead and grab/shimmy mixups like a traditional fighter. Considering that every player in absolver uses a custom built fighting style, you are not going to be able to know ahead of time what your opponent can/will do, and thus the gameplay of Absolver is centered around downloading and feeling out your opponent and their combat deck, rather than focusing on individual matchups.
In effect, Absolver has endless replay value. You can build decks specialized in taking down certain fighting styles, you can build decks that use only punches or only kicks, you can build decks that are all openings or decks that are all whiff punishes. Whatever your heart desires, you can make it, and nothing feels as good as winning a round with a solid hit from a deck you spent hours honing and perfecting.
In summary, Absolver is 100% worth the purchase. If you can't players for the PvP gamemodes, just hop in the discord and request a match, and you'll find somebody.
