KNIGHTS AND BIKES is a hand-painted action-adventure for 1 or 2 players, set on a British island in the 1980s. It's a coming-of-age story starring Nessa & Demelza, exploring the coasts of Penfurzy on their trusty bikes, looking for a legendary lost treasure in a Goonies-inspired tale of excitement, danger, fun and friendship. The two new friends, along with their pet-goose and the pickled-head of an undead knight, form the Penfurzy Rebel Bicycle Club, and are ready for anything this adventure throws at them. They pedal into danger to face threats head-on with frisbees, water-balloons, video game controllers and the powerful beats of an amplified boom-box.

I really really liked this game. So much actually that I got the artbook. So when I saw just now that it had mixed reviews I thought I should add mine to the mix. haha.
Back during pandemic I was looking for co-op games to play with my girlfriend while stuck at home. and I was surprised by how well Knights and bikes managed to convey the childlike exploring + imagination. If you're looking for challenging gameplay then this is probably not for you. The game is pretty straightforward and super forgiving. If, on the other hand, you're looking to have a great time exploring a beautiful world (with or without a friend). While enjoying a good story. Then I suggest you give this one a go.
It might be specially good if you're looking for something to play with someone not very used to gaming or a child.

Cutest coop game I've tried in a while.
It's not "It takes two" level of coop interaction, but it kind of is.

This game balances whimsy, action, nostalgia, and a little fear of the unknown in an amazing way. The gameplay is fun, though sometimes confusing. Every new ability brings an element of silliness and fun while also keeping it interesting. The story is sad but endearing, and embodies the difficulties of holding grief and friendship.

Mildly recommended.
There's clearly a lot of love put into this game and its visuals and style, and that's probably my favorite thing about it. A lot of distinct animations and the like go into the characters and make for a unique and memorable experience unlike any other game I've played.
The gameplay and story are satisfactory. But ultimately, neither had any standout aspects to me. The story was okay but never particularly drew me in. The gameplay is okay (a bit frustrating at times, but overall forgiving) but doesn't have anything really stimulating or unique to it. It is neat to play a game specifically meant for co-op, but ultimately it doesn't use that mechanic in any particularly interesting ways.
Ultimately, the style and nice art that went into this game can't make it a great game all by themselves, at least not to me, and it lacks the substance needed to make it truly stand out. I enjoyed it well enough, but unlike the better and/or more distinct adventures we've gone through, my wife and I never had much to say about this when we weren't actually playing it, and it's not one I expect to revisit. I like aspects of this game, but the product as a whole is one I'm relatively ambivalent on, and so this is only the slightest of recommendations.

My 7 year old daughter says this is a great game for fathers and daughters/sons who like bikes and adventures, Rating 10/10 golden bikes!

This game was Amazing! The length is great for the value you get. I played this with my friend and we had so much joy reading the lines and talking with each other about what was going on in the story. Only thing that sucks is the lag which makes it so player 2 has to follow them around, but to be honest your gonna be by each other for the most part so not that big of a deal. Ultimately I would totally recommend getting someone who'll do the voice lines and get in character with you!
