A rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America. Forage, craft, evade predators. From the Art Director of BioShock and a team of veterans of the BioShock, Halo, Guitar Hero and Rock Band series comes The Flame in the Flood. Travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river as you scrounge for resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade the vicious wildlife, and most importantly, stay ahead of the coming rains.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The art, the ambiance, the music, & the gameplay are all really well done. I hadn't played it in a few years and just recently completed another campaign mode. It's a little buggier than it used to be, but overall still a great experience. I tell people about this game all the time and can't recommend it enough if you're into indie survival games.

I met dingo back in 2018 when I started streaming this game, shoutout to how awesome he is just popping out of the blue and telling me to go get my character killed lmao
overall this game is really cool, the problem is that you have to stop and go, it kinda ruins the immersion and progression at the same time, I know i'm reviewing this almost 10 years after I originally played but I still wouldn't take this game lightly. It has unique and gorgeous graphics, didn't encounter any bugs or issues and I had a blast just spot hopping for scraps and resources.
It's pretty easy to pick up and play and the survival mechanics aren't too heavy on your like the other games do. but again, it's pretty straightforward, you're on a raft and you have to do pit stops to gather resources in order to upgrade your gear and your raft. Just think of raft but you're in a downflowing river and that your expansion options for your raft is incredibly minimal.
It's still is really fun

EXCELLENT music, I can't speak to the game itself as I haven't played enough games to compare (I liked it), but the music in this game is EXCELLENT.

The game is gliched af and I spent nearly 10 hours trying to get a single achievement but the soundtrack and the game were fun.

fun game with a cool art style and an amazing soundtrack that plays while my dog watches me get mauled to death by packs of wild animals or sees me tragically perish as I contract several deadly diseases all at once after I decided to eat a flower.
10/10 game!
