Knightin’+
This demo contains only the first dungeon. Join brave sir Lootalot on his epic quest in this little Zelda-lite adventure. Explore and fight your way through the dangerous dungeons filled with traps, puzzles and magical artifacts. And, of course, show the evil bosses who is the real boss here. Knightin'+ is a classic adventure game made by one person (yep, it's me) inspired by the amazing masterpieces from 90s. So what can you expect from this game? Let's sum up: Classic adventure gameplay (i.e. explore the dungeon, fight monsters, solve puzzles, collect loot, unlock new abilities, proceed to the next dungeon). Tongue-in-cheek story (that shouldn't be taken seriously by any means). Stylish pixel art graphics. Catchy soundtrack. Full controller support.

Got turned around so many times... That I have no idea where anything is anymore.
But... Still a fun lil game. Humor appreciated. ^-^

It doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well. Except some of the hitboxes. Overall, it's okay.
100% achievement completion boils down to 2 playthroughs, one for opening every chest and another one for a deathless speedrun. It's an alright challenge that doesn't need too much practice.

A really fun little game!
Going on my third run through, and I've had a blast every time. You're able to grind for money if you can't complete the puzzles (though the puzzles aren't punishing if you've got either a mind for them, or some patience,) and the bosses are enemies are simple, but entertaining. Still only halfway through the game, and I would still recommend it to anyone.

Fine little game, with cool puzzles and simple designs. Some puzzles even required to break head over. And I'm proud I only needed help with 2 puzzles: 1 because I couldn't get it and 2nd because I was near the end and grew impatient. I'm also proud such nice game was made by Ukranian developers. Slava Ukraine!

Knightin’+ is a compact action-adventure dungeon crawler that embraces its retro inspirations with confidence, delivering a focused experience built around exploration, puzzle solving, and light combat. Developed and published by Muzt Die Studios, the game positions itself as a modern homage to classic top-down adventure titles, particularly those that emphasized clever dungeon design over sprawling worlds or complex progression systems. From the moment it begins, it establishes a playful tone and a clear gameplay identity, aiming to provide a satisfying journey without overstaying its welcome.
Players step into the boots of Sir Lootalot, a knight whose quest revolves around delving into a series of handcrafted dungeons filled with enemies, traps, and environmental puzzles. The structure is straightforward and intentionally familiar: rooms connect in compact layouts, keys and switches gate progress, and exploration is rewarded with new tools and access to previously unreachable areas. Rather than overwhelming players with options, the game focuses on clarity and pacing, allowing each dungeon to introduce new ideas and challenges at a manageable rhythm.
Combat in Knightin’+ is simple but responsive, reinforcing the game’s emphasis on positioning and timing rather than complex mechanics. Enemies are distinct in behavior, encouraging players to learn patterns and adapt their approach rather than rely on brute force. Early encounters ease players into the flow, while later rooms and boss fights demand sharper reactions and a better understanding of enemy tells. Boss encounters, in particular, stand out as memorable moments, blending pattern recognition with environmental awareness to create satisfying tests of skill without feeling punishing.
Puzzle design is one of the game’s strongest aspects. Many rooms require players to think carefully about movement, object placement, and timing, often combining multiple mechanics in clever ways. These puzzles rarely feel arbitrary; instead, they reward observation and experimentation, reinforcing a sense of mastery as players learn how the game’s systems interact. Occasional backtracking with newly acquired abilities adds depth to the exploration without making the dungeons feel overly convoluted.
Visually, the game adopts a colorful pixel art style that evokes the charm of 16-bit era classics. Sprites are expressive, environments are easy to read, and animations give enemies and objects a lively presence. While the presentation is intentionally modest, it is cohesive and thoughtfully designed, contributing to the game’s nostalgic appeal without feeling outdated. Sound effects and music complement this aesthetic, providing upbeat and atmospheric accompaniment that supports the action without becoming distracting.
Narrative takes a back seat to gameplay, with the story presented in a lighthearted, minimal fashion. Dialogue and context exist primarily to frame the adventure rather than drive emotional arcs or complex storytelling. This choice aligns with the game’s retro sensibilities, allowing players to focus on mechanics and discovery rather than exposition. While those seeking deep lore or character development may find the narrative sparse, others will appreciate the streamlined approach that keeps the momentum steady.
In terms of length and scope, Knightin’+ is a deliberately concise experience. The adventure can be completed in a relatively short amount of time, making it well suited for players who enjoy self-contained games that respect their time. This brevity also means there is limited long-term progression or replay incentive beyond revisiting favorite dungeons or refining completion times. However, the tight design ensures that the game remains engaging throughout its runtime, rarely padding itself with filler content.
Overall, Knightin’+ succeeds by focusing on what it does best: delivering a polished, nostalgic dungeon-crawling experience built around smart puzzles, accessible combat, and charming presentation. It may not push boundaries or introduce groundbreaking mechanics, but it doesn’t need to. For players who appreciate classic adventure design distilled into a compact, modern indie package, Knightin’+ offers a rewarding and enjoyable journey that captures the spirit of its inspirations while standing confidently on its own.

Basically a NES/SNES Zelda game, but with no overworld and some puzzles - tough ones, actually. The game wears its inspiration and limitations on its sleeve, and is priced fairly.
Note, the R key or select/back on a controller resets block puzzles. This is an easily-missed "tutorial" that can cause a ton of frustration.
The Good
+Frequent save and resting spots
+Three save profiles
+Can go back to old dungeons if you missed something, including post-credits
+Game tracks collectibles on world map
+Available cheat codes, though they disable achievements
+4-5 hours playtime, which is perfect for the price and time it takes to get dull
+I'm pretty sure those ghosts were pixel-flipping me off before disappearing
YMMV
~Most puzzles require patient thought/observation/experimentation
~A few light bullet hell rooms can be annoying
~Bosses, while not unfair, can be a difficulty spike. The last one has some RNG elements.
~Your character isn't as agile as needed. Iframes on the dash would help.
~Speaking of which, the flame dash is pretty useless
~One achievement requires speedrunning
The Bad
-Would have been very helpful to display the current dungeon level in the HUD
-The hint about resetting block puzzles is very easy to miss

Pros:
1.) Simple, easy, chill game
2.) Pixel graphics. Enough said
3.) Reminds me of old school Zelda games
Cons:
1.) No story, not a lot of depth
2.) Short game
Game is totally worth every penny and I've already had a blast playing this. I'm definitely going back for more.
