True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2
True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2 is the sequel to one of the best rated horror escape games, acclaimed for its story and the atmosphere of horror mystery. Holly Stonehouse followed the clues from her old family house to finally arrive at the Dark Falls Asylum and again see that someone was there before her, waiting for her. However this time she is no longer a spectator and what follows her is no longer just a shadow – the danger is real as the Asylum comes alive at night. Collecting clues, going through notes and photographs, unlocking devious puzzles and constructing complex chains of adventure actions, help Holly escape the night and find the answers. Was her mother crazy or was there really another sister? Did her mother commit suicide? How could Dahlia “come back” after the fire and who or what is the terrifying thing that Holly saw at Heather's house and that kept following her ever since?

True Fear is MY NEW FEAR
I don't review the HOG games i play in a critical manner but this one is truly one of a kind and worth a mention. This is a continuation from part 1 of the Trilogy, did it explain most of the stuff in part 1 in the second installment yes it did. So I played the 1st time off the expert mode and man it was tough as hell. Brace yourselves for these puzzles There were minor bugs where the magnifying glass would not work and that had me run in circles. I liked the fact that the past history of the story is in different narratives in this one you have the main character, a ghost hunting journalist and the asylum workers. The location is basically 3 buildings in the asylum and there is a huge map. There are I think only a few HOG puzzles and they are very creatively constructed. Certain rooms in the game has even time manipulation which is amazing. I never thought of the wine being vinegar. The 3D and cinematics are great and the voice acting is amazing. Story wise, i felt more and more cliffhangers than a closure, but i really LOVE the mysterious story. Achievements are bugged in the game and I got the Boss achievement without unlocking 2 achievements. But i got most of them in my first playthrough. Might do a second one who knows. The OST also is good but not what i preferred as the part 1 of the Trilogy. I do wish there is a bonus chapter, but I think the team gave what they can so no complaints. Overall really interesting game for HOG fans. Give it a go when you desire the chills and the spooks. Can't wait for part 3!!

Enjoyed this one very much, except for the end... :D But yeah. I will say, just like the first one I was doing just fine and then, just one time when i was trying to get back to the demon statues, I clicked the darned hint thing instead of the map.... I hate that. But anyway... Very fun. Really enjoyed. :)

The story is wonderful and it is creepy.
There is a lot of back and forth without really understanding why, but overall a well done and graphically beautiful game.
I hope they come out with part 3 soon.

Well, what do we have here? Sequel that managed to outdo the original in most aspects. Very big game. Really big. With lots of puzzles and stuff to do. But I would not call it a hidden object game, because there is little to no HOG scenes. So, it's more a point and click and puzzle game. We still have cool visuals and spooky atmosphere. Locations became bigger and more variable. And the story is even more intriguing than before. I'd say, we get more more questions than answers.
Fun fact. There is a scene in the game, when a huge glass ceiling, at certain point, will just collapse. At the very same day that I played the game, maybe less than 10 mins after I encountered this scene ingame - the bath cabin (also made of glass) in my own bathroom also fully collapsed with very loud rumble. That was very unexpected coincidence.
A word of advice for achievement hunters. If you want to get everything and not mess up anything, keep in mind - do everything on the same profile. And in one go. Otherwise, there is a good chance that you will miss something. Yeah, it's a pain, but we are not searching for easy solutions, right? Oh, by the way - the third game finally reached Steam and release date is close. So we can finally uncover the final mystery behind this story.

A great sequel with good scares and an overall great ambience. The puzzles and mechanics are more refined and very cool and fun. The story continuation is really well executed and and really interesing. The scares and the ambience are really creepy cool. All in on a really cool game that makes me want more. I can really highly recommend it.

While the story was good from both 1 and 2, this one is MUCH better. It doesn't feel like we're being stared into our soul by a character who can't even blink. Thank you for adding that mechanic, no matter how small it is. As for gameplay, wow is this ever difficult. It's also quite satisfying upon solving things. I did have to try and get some help with some puzzles, but that goes to show you that the game doesn't hold your hand. It's a thumbs up from me.
