Agony is a first-person, survival horror set in the depths of hell. You will begin your journey as a tormented soul, remembering nothing from your past life. By exploring the hostile environment and interacting with other tormented souls, you will soon understand that the only one way to escape from Hell is through the mystical Red Goddess. The special ability to control people on your path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives you the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions.

That section where you walk next to a hot orgy of demons was so difficult, it took me at least 3 hours to beat

Ahem... Played it for the gripping story...

like - atmosphere, details, visuals, etc...
Dislike - bugs, glitches, clipping through objects and getting stuck and the game crashing.
Seems to run fine now but I am still quite frustrated with it. regardless I would recommend it for those who like gore and seeing some "weird" stuff (depending on who you are that is)

Good game for bloddy tits, bad game for story. Didnt know what was happening for the whole 8 hours I played. Enjoyed the tits :D

Metal.
Buy for cool over-the-edge imagery and scenery. 60% Clive Barker, 40% H.R.Giger and 40% Zdislaw Beksinski. The math doesn't add up, but it's over the edge, ya dig? I appreciated it, but it might be too edgy for its own good for someone; some may not like it because it's too much to handle, some may roll their eyes because it tries too hard. The gore and limbs and screams and tits don't serve any other purpose than for it to be there. But it is there, take it or leave it. I think it fits the atmosphere nicely.
Don't buy for gameplay. It's not the worst ever but it's kinda meh, again, gameplay elements don't serve any other purpose than for it to be there. Devs would probably be better off if they decided to go for full-fledged walking simulator with this one. But they didn't. And yet they kind of did at the same time.
Also, it's not a long game by any means. But you can take only so much gore and limbs and screams and tits before you become desensitized to it and before it gets repetitive.
Still...
Metal.
EDIT:
Also, devs, if you're gonna put sacrificing disfigured fetuses/babies at the altar as an actual option in the game, either make it serve some higer gameplay purpose or make it clear that sacrificing babies is purely cosmetic. I mean at least I got an achievement out of it after fifth baby, but nothing else, nada. And after grabbing like eighth crying baby to crush under a rock for no reason, only then I realized that no hell portal is gonna open or anything like that, and I began to feel like a creepy uncle.
EDIT 2: If you've got a 10th gen Intel CPU or later, you're gonna need to search for a crashing fix in the forums. Otherwise you won't be able to play this.

Agony is a horror survival game that brings players the closest experience to playing in Hell. With its intense visuals, sound, and atmosphere, the game immerses its audiences in a highly detailed underworld. The visuals consist of a variety of colors and dark hues in a 3D landscape filled with terrifying demons and corpses. Sound is heavily present making the atmosphere even more intense, with demonic music and sound effects as players explore the world. Players take on the role of a human soul seeking to reach the depths of Hell and gain knowledge of the Red Goddess. With customization to your character, you also get to choose whether you will be an even bigger threat or a savior for the damned souls in Hell. Agony is definitely not a game for the faint of heart as it goes all in on horror and dread and is in my opinion one of the best horror games I have ever played. I can safely say that it is the closest we’ll get to what hell would be like in a gaming format.
