PacaPomo
PacaPomo is a cozy productivity app where you raise alpacas and cultivate a farm, all driven by the Pomodoro Technique!
PacaPomo is an experimental cross between a productivity app and a farming game. Our objective is to create a cozy farming game for busy students and working professionals to play while going about their daily routines and responsibilities. The game revolves around using a Pomodoro Timer – a technique where a person sets a goal to focus for 25 minutes, and then break for 5 minutes, allowing for them to stick to a schedule and improve their concentration. This may be especially beneficial to those with ADHD, that thrive off gamifying chores and tasks.
PacaPomo provides rewards for completing Pomodoro Timers by progressing time on the farm and giving Sol – a currency solely used for adopting new alpacas and expanding the farm. New alpacas are unique, bespoke characters that have different personalities and stories. They are acquired randomly through adopting from the Alpaca Sanctuary, giving players a sense of excitement for each new addition to their farm.
Players are allowed to choose from a slider their focus and break times (25 – 150 minutes for focus, 5 – 30 minutes for break) and the rewards scale according to amount of time completed. We also have advanced options like adding long breaks, auto-switching to the next Pomodoro, and plan to add more features to our pomodoro to allow for as much player freedom and ease of use. There is also a report card that tracks daily, weekly, and monthly progress.
After completion of a Pomodoro work session, crops will grow, new Alpacas can be adopted, and the occasional event pops up for interaction. There are also terraces on the farm, which can be unlocked using PacaPomo’s currency which allow the player to expand their play space and unlock new mechanics and features – some include an orchard, a training gym, and a pond. We will continue developing the game past launch to add more activities, Alpaca characters, and farm progression, which will offer players engagement long-term.
In today’s fast-paced world, many struggle to balance work, responsibilities, and leisure time. PacaPomo aims to address this challenge by offering a free, fun and accessible way for people to relax and unwind while also being productive.

This game is amazing!!! i am a long time player of stardew valley and animal crossing and this game is like stardew valley but with productivity as your currency. The animation is also soooo cute. I have honestly used tons of apps like this on my phone and on steam and this is the best one! I actually found working addicting.

I love this! I just started not long ago and its perfect! It has a decent complexity and goals in the game itself without it taking too long. Other pomo games are a little too simple but this one is perfect! I hope you continue to expand and allow ways to collect all kinds of things in the future <3 In my opinion, collection is probably one of the best aspects to put into a pomo game.

I absolutely love the Pomodoro method and this game is a great way to use it and stay on task. It's super cute and I wouldn't have made it through finals without it (/half joke). I've played many hours of it in it's early access stage, and came up with a few things to offer the makers to work on or consider including as they continue creating this lovely productivity game :]
Timer Stuff:
I should be able to pause the work timer should a non-work thing come up.
I wish I could see which session of the Pomodoro I'm on/ how close I am to the big break.
I also wish there was an option to skip the big break, or save it for later if you feel you're on a roll but still want the big reward soon-ish.
Alternatively, it would be cool if we could save up the breaks we earn.
Similarly, an option to extend the work timer by a few minutes when you feel you're on a roll is also something I wanted at times.
It'd also be nice if I could chose more specific times, like 7 minutes instead of just 5 or 10.
Finally, having the option to have a pop-up in the corner showing the timer that could be seen outside of steam would be neat.
Game Stuff:
There's a very small clipping issue with the pink llama's leg
The hitboxes are unclear and sometimes hard to hit, so I'm unsure if I missed or if the llama I'm trying to feed isn't hungry
I would love if there were more things to spend the earned money on, like decorations or clothes for the llamas, etc
More minigames please! :D and, they should only be able to be played while the break timer is active, rn they are able to be played when no timer is on

Pretty good pomodoro timer game. It would be nice to be able to change the settings on the timer in a more granular way, but I find the gameplay to be quite incentivising in getting me to actually work

I like the whimsy and that the plants we can grow are connected to the alpacas native lands. I like that I can adjust the sound settings. I struggle a little clicking exactly the right spot to harvest a few of the plant plots but most of them are very easy to click and harvest.
