A defining feature of "Zlime" is its innovative transformation system. As you defeat foes, you can devour them to gain their abilities and enhance your powers. This mechanic adds a refreshing layer of depth to the game, allowing for a flexible and personalized approach to combat. Transformations not only change your appearance but also grant you new skills, keeping the gameplay exciting and diverse.
"Zlime" shines with its vibrant and colorful 2D art style. The game world is richly detailed, with each level boasting a unique and atmospheric design. The character sprites are charming and well-animated, bringing the demonic realm to life in a fun and engaging way.
The soundtrack of "Zlime" complements the visual experience perfectly. With catchy tunes and impactful sound effects, the audio design enhances the overall immersion and makes the gameplay even more enjoyable.
As a roguelike, "Zlime" offers high replayability. The procedurally generated levels ensure that no two runs are the same, providing a fresh experience each time you play. Unlocking new transformations and discovering different strategies to tackle the challenges keeps the game exciting and rewarding
"Zlime" strikes a good balance between challenge and accessibility. While the game can be demanding, it is also designed to be approachable and fun for players of all skill levels. The learning curve is manageable, and the game provides ample opportunities to improve and adapt your strategies.
Occasionally, the randomness inherent in roguelikes can lead to uneven difficulty spikes, but "Zlime" manages to keep frustration to a minimum with its engaging mechanics and satisfying progression system.

First hour experience;
As expected, the gameplay is simple not to hard and it's fun.
Hopefully you guys can complete the full release and satisfy with the final product.
I can't wait for further development.

Alright, so I was going to say this is Kirby meets Adventure Island. Or Kid Icarus. Or basically any classic platformer with some melee combat. But, really it's mostly Kirby's Dreamland with some roguelike elements tossed in.
That might simplify things, but the game is quite a bit of fun. The downside with Early Access titles that have a story is you'll potentially have to wait quite some time to experience the full thing. That's the case here, so after a few hours of playtime I'm now going to put this on the backburner until it is actually released.
However, I've played it long enough to say I thoroughly enjoyed what I've played so far. Fun and quirky characters with great pixel art throughout the game. The level design is fairly decent, although the roguelike nature of things means you'll cycle through the same levels now and then. Not a big deal.
I found combat as the slime to be satisfying enough to where I rarely spent time playing as the enemies I consumed. Certainly not the way the game is intended to play, but it's their fault for making the slime fun to play. The consuming of enemies opens up a new style of gameplay for you, with the ability to use their attacks and special abilities against other foes. You can also absorb minibosses which is cool.
Good graphics, sound, and the story that's available so far is a fun read as well. Very cool game thus far. I look forward to jumping back into it in the future.

EA Rougelike action + replayability + skills = Bash then consume monsters and transform to use their skills. Use scrolls to upgrade skills after each run. Take on bosses and even consume them.

A really good action Roguelike game with great concepts. (You can be almost any enemies in the game including bosses)
.
The first 1-2 hours of the game you will definitely feel very annoyed with the "Mana System".
So here are some tips to help you out :
- Upgrading the Transform slots first, so you will have 3 forms to play with. (Max it out ASAP)
- There is an upgrade at base that every stage you gain Mana to all of your transforms, this alone almost solves your Mana problem.
- The latest update added "Trait system" and one of them is "you gain Mana on hit". (Sword+Staff)
- There are a lot of items that help with Mana problem, and you can stack them too! (One of them completely take out Mana degen and it's OP asf)
.
****About the last update****
- I see a lot of changing in QoL terms, that means the dev actually cares about your feedback.
- The new trait system is SUPER FUN and turns a lot of trashy transforms to shine, that's why I recommended you to max out Transform slots first.
- A lot smoother, more repeatable and more challenging gameplay experience than the previous patch.
- Some of the new added relics are really cool and some of them are too OP. (in a good way)
- Stacking crit and buffs are broken asf, so try it.
- Stage 4 boss hit you like a truck, so either kill him fast or build up your defense.
- There is an endgame system that reward you new relics while you trying out new builds.
Great update and waiting for the next patch.

If Kirby had an unsavory relationship with Castlevania, this would be it. A brilliant cross-over of simple platforming, monster hunting and fast paced combat.
