About the GameIn Treason, a group of mobsters finds a dead body. There are traitors amongst them…
To find out who the traitors are, the innocents have to search for clues and make the murderer(s) pay for what they’ve done!
When the game starts, a small number of players is randomly selected as Traitors, who have to kill all the Innocent players. The innocent players are in the majority, but they don’t know who is a traitor and who is not. The traitors have special abilities to use to their advantage, in order to succeed.
– The Innocents win by eliminating or by surviving the traitors.
– The Traitors win by murdering all the innocents.
There is 1 Detective in the group. They must investigate corpses found by innocent players to gather enough DNA to nose out who the traitors are.
Roles:
Innocent:
Task: Find clues to snuff out traitors.
Abilities:
Medkit – Heal yourself
Traitor:
Task: Eliminate all innocents.
Abilities:
Medkit – Heal yourself
Revive – Revive a dead body that will turn into a Zombie Traitor
Radar – Reveal player locations for a short amount of time
Bomb – Plant a bomb on designated bomb sites
Detective:
Task: Scan bodies to publicly confirm deaths.
Abilities:
Medkit – Heal yourself
DNA Scan – Scan a body to reveal the killer
Zombie Traitor:
Task: Help traitors to get rid of the innocents.
Abilities:
Radar – Reveal player locations for a short amount of time
Bomb – Plant a bomb on designated bomb sites
– Clue Processing Unit system:
Throughout the round, a Tombe will spawn. When a player finds this gravestone, clues will be spawned over the map and players will have to collect them. If they bring all of the clues to the CPU, the traitors will be revealed…
Watch out for traitors stealing clues and possible suspicious behavior that comes with it.
(Treason is a hobby project, heavily based on classic game mods. It’s here for free, for the casual player that craves a faster and spiced up TTT feel)

So I heard you like Trouble in Terrorist Town, and you also love The Godfather movies and Goodfellas, well boy do I have a game for you!
And best of all, it is totally free! As a nice little game for in between, this one just hits the nail right on the head, group up with some friends or join random strangers to figure out which of you finks killed the Don.
It's a very fun experience, made by a small dev team, which keep updates flowing and regularly join in and play a few matches themselves, all in all, I can only recommend this game, and hope more people play it!

Klaus Veen's Treason is an awesome social deduction PVP game!
Constant updates, lots of maps, roles, characters and a super friendly community.
Klaus cares about his players and listens to everyone's suggestions and feedback. He's a regular face you'll meet while playing!

This is one of the best looking source engine mods I've seen, but not because of high quality models and textures but because of the beautiful cartoony visuals, similar to TF2 (also the weapons are satisfying, as they should!).

Treason is essentially Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) from GMod, but it's fixed all the problems with that mod. So if you like TTT at all, check out Treason. It's free and the game is updated fairly regularly.
The biggest improvement to the TTT formula is that there are natural and fair in game consequences for killing the wrong person. So there is no whining about RDM, (less RDM too), no having to wait until you have been shot in the face before you can defend yourself and no bullshit kangaroo courts with 12 year old moderators.
This means that Treason is a version of TTT where you actually get to use deductive reasoning to try and figure out who the traitor is and there are more strategies than everyone standing in a group and waiting to 3 v 10.
Also, because it's not GMod, you don't have to download 10GB of anime skins and random sound effects, HUD formats, etc for every server. The community and playerbase is a lot less obnoxious than GMod's community at this point too.

Very fun iteration of TTT (Trouble in Terrorist Town). The entire theme is very cool, 60's esque. Everyone is dressed up like mobsters/clue characters and use a variety of old school weapons with a new twist that gives it a new experience! Teams feel pretty balanced, If people know what they are doing either team has a pretty good chance at winning. Love the map design, overall this game feels pretty addicting. I definitely plan on coming back to this game and bringing a few friends along, as well.

great game good people finding a full server can be a bit tough but when you get a lobby its just amazing good stress relief good people klaus veen himself pops in and hes a pretty damn good guy talked to him a few times always super respectfull i highly praise the game and community

Great replacement for TTT from Gmod
it's very fun especially with FRIENDS!
