Edit
When he awakes in an old abandoned asylum, his sole memory is the attempted rescue of a teenage girl with a bomb strapped to her chest. Everything else is blank. With a strange technology fused to his head – used to read and replay human memory – Black travels into the depths of his own mind. To find the truth of his past. To find the truth of what happened. And to answer two very simple questions:‘Why were you there?’ and, ‘Who was the girl?’

Take all the genres and subgenres of games and throw them in a mixer. The result? This game with various mechanics, none done well. Good start but after the "first level" you will soon realize that you understand nothing about the style of play and what exactly you have to do.
Really too much meat on the fire, my rating 6/10 to be taken with a strong discount.

I loved it, but it's hard to explain why without huge spoilers. The story is masterfully told and executed. The game mechanics stumble a bit. I think the problem with this game is that the less you know, the more effective the story. Which is a hard sell for a lower budget title.
It's very much a game for people who play games for the story.

Good game. Got it on sale for 5 bucks and really enjoying it.

This is literally the most depressing game you will ever play, bring several boxes of tissues.

The game has a captivating storyline where memory and fiction are blended together and nothing is what it seems, but the stealth sections can get somewhat tedious, especially at the end (and that's from someone who loves stealth). A good choice for people who like patient evidence collection and analysis mixed with a little action.

Get Even is quite uneven game. It has interesting, quite deep and well delivered story, that even promises some "branching and consequences" but doesn't exactly deliver on them. Still, with the voice acting and solid writing, it is a enjoyable journey.
The gameplay is mostly miss tho. While the corner gun is kinda cool, the shooting is mediocre at best and sneaking is just annoying. All the parts that I had to shoot or sneak my way in were the rivers I had to get across to the other side to get another interesting thing: piece of a puzzle that is the game's story.
Go in for the story, but don't buy it expecting good shooter or horror. At times, I think it would be better being a "walking sim" with detective mechanics instead. Nevetheless, a light recommendation.
