Oil Rush

I know this game is more or less dead, however for anyone in the future who ever reads this. It is a good and unique game. I would love to see a reborn version of it.

Simple, fun game, strategy based. I like it.

Look, this game is no perfect when it comes to RTS mechanics... but it's well optimised, the tech tree is quite enriched, the battles can be spectacular and we don't see often "AQUA-POST APOCALYPSE RTS" games.

I wish we did.

This game was a lot of fun. It's not a standard RTS but more of a node control RTS and some levels are just straight up tower defense. But it's well-designed, focuses the player to go on the attack and each of the campaign levels were pretty fast-- with few exceptions. Controls are a bit awkward without your standard highlight and attack. I guess I could describe it as air units in Red Alert, but when you capture a node you can land there again. The graphics still hold up today and I caught myself looking at some of the scenery that is just well-designed. It set up for a sequel which I very much doubt we'd ever see but it was still fun enough that I think I may play Submarine Titans next. There's not a lot of naval RTS out there and this one nailed that well, despite it's so-so reviews.

A post-apocalyptic RTS where oil rigs are the new gold, wrapped in a visually stunning but mechanically shallow package—like watching a sinking supertanker in 4K.
