In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players are sent to a "far, far away galaxy" to fight against the evil Empire, which has almost completely wiped out the Jedi. During the game, players can visit several planets with open worlds, and in order to explore them more easily, they need to acquire means of transportation, which in the form of riding animals is a game mechanic. This guide will describe how to obtain a riding animal in the game.
In the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the main character can tame various creatures, which will later become loyal companions and riding animals useful for exploring the planet Kobo. The mechanics of creature taming and how to tame a riding animal are described below.
How to Obtain a Riding Animal in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the first riding animal cannot be missed. Players will receive it after completing the main storyline and thoroughly exploring the planet Kobo. It is necessary to complete the main missions until the hero goes to the forest area of the planet, where he will meet Reltar, a flying animal. After that, Cere will teach the player the skill of creature taming.
The "Taming" ability is given by Cere and can be used on friendly creatures that are part of the main storyline. Each riding animal can only be tamed as directed by the game, by pressing the interaction button next to them. Taming is not available until this ability is obtained.
Creatures in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that can be tamed
In the game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, various creatures can be found that can be tamed for use as transportation. Below are all the known rideable animals:
Relter
These creatures can fly, so they can be used to cross gaps. However, they can only be controlled to a limited extent and can only take you to certain locations.
Nekko
This is a full-fledged means of transportation that can be obtained after completing a specific mission. Nekko allows you to ride on it, climb inclined roads, and make double jumps, thus expanding your range of movement. It can be summoned at any time, even if you have lost sight of it. In addition, you can fight on Nekko, using a lightsaber or firearms, once the blaster stance is unlocked.
Spamel
This is a long-legged creature that can be found in the deserts of Jedha. Like Nekko, it is also a loyal companion for moving through locations, allowing you to climb high areas and pass into new zones.
Manta Bats
These creatures perform the same function as Relters, but can only be found on Jedha. They allow you to cross gaps, but beyond that function, they cannot be controlled.
