The Long Journey Home
There are a million stars in the universe. Only one of them is Home. It was supposed to be a short test run – a quick flight to Alpha Centauri and back. But when mankind’s first experimental jump drive goes wrong, you and your crew find yourselves trapped on the wrong side of the galaxy. Now, you are entirely on your own – and the only way back leads through the vast unknown of outer space. On your strange journey, you will encounter unforeseen obstacles and unimaginable treasures. You will fail and you will pick yourselves up again. You will suffer painful losses and also make new friends – in a vibrant universe that changes its design with every new journey. Your most important goal: Bring your crew back home to their families and friends.

Pretty darn fun. Love space games. This is a space game. It has landers, resource gathering, exploration, combat, some physics, missions, and a lot more. Completed on story mode in a few days. Would recommend. Thanks dev.

The game does not hold your hand
The general strategies/items/risks are not explicitly explained to the player, which is part of the charm IMO
I would recommend not not reading the wiki for the first couple of playthroughs at least, except maybe for what ship to take
I found the lander controls to be very straightforward, unlike some other comments I saw
Not for everyone, but definitely worth the R8 on sale
Would I buy at the full price of R80?
I'll decide in a bit :P

The game has so much potential, but it is definitely not for casual players, which is probably why it was unfortunately not very successful. The content itself in the game is enormous, unfortunately it is so difficult that you will never see most of it.
They could have made it a little more forgiving so that things didn't go wrong all the time. I also think it's a shame that you only have one save. The player should have the option (like in Paradox) whether he wants to play in Iron mode and not be forced.
A big update that would let the player customize more and it would certainly become much better known. But because it's so depressing, no one recommends it to anyone and that's probably why it fails to achieve this great potential...

Cool game, great RPG mechanics and cool seed generator. Would keep this game until I die and give away my Steam acc to my future king son or whatever

Weel, I dont usually write review, but I thought this would help more people find this excellent game.
First of all: this game does not have a typical pace, it is slower than most games, it requires you to pay attention on what you are doing.
Survival is hard in this one!
What I liked the most:
- The jouney from on point to the next is hard. You have to consider inertia and trajectory.
- Resources are always important! That brings a great Star Trek Voyager vibe. Love it!
- You have people in your ship. They matter a lot. They have skills and when you lose someone you'll feel it.
- The universe fell lonely, inhospitable and mysterious.
- The music is great in those slowest moments investigating an asteroid field. Great Interstellar vibe.
Not a common game.
Not an easy game. Very hard, by the way.
But, go for it.
I bought twice on the PC and Switch.

Mod support would revive this game.
But that will never happen.
