Puzzle Light: Connect is a small and focused logic game that turns the basic concept of electrical circuits into a series of approachable brain teasers. Developed by Waidy Andrade and published by Cronostase, the game does not attempt to overwhelm players with complicated mechanics, storytelling, or progression systems. Instead, it presents a simple objective: connect the available pieces correctly, complete the circuit, and illuminate the lights. That simplicity makes it easy to understand almost immediately while still leaving plenty of room for increasingly demanding puzzles.
The game contains 50 handcrafted levels, with each stage presenting a new arrangement that must be examined and solved. No actual knowledge of electronics is required, which is important because the circuit theme functions primarily as an intuitive visual framework for the puzzles. Players gradually learn to recognize how individual components relate to one another, where connections need to be established, and which arrangements will successfully deliver power to the lights. The satisfaction comes from studying an initially confusing board and eventually discovering the correct configuration.
Its progression benefits from being handcrafted rather than procedurally generated. The puzzles feel like deliberately constructed problems rather than random collections of pieces, allowing the difficulty to develop naturally as players become familiar with the central rules. Earlier stages help establish the basic logic, while later arrangements can require more careful observation and experimentation. There is no need for quick reactions or precise timing, so the challenge is almost entirely mental. Players can take as much time as necessary to inspect the board and consider possible solutions.
Visually, Puzzle Light: Connect adopts a clean and minimalist 2D presentation that suits its purpose. The interface keeps unnecessary distractions away from the puzzle itself, allowing the circuit pieces and lights to remain the focus. The colorful appearance provides enough personality to prevent the presentation from becoming sterile, while the illuminated results give successful solutions a pleasant sense of completion. It is not graphically ambitious, but elaborate visuals would arguably work against the straightforward nature of this type of puzzle game.
The relaxed structure makes it particularly suitable for short sessions. A player can open the game, solve a handful of puzzles, and leave without needing to remember a complicated narrative or collection of mechanics when returning later. At the same time, completing all 50 stages provides a clear overall objective. The game also includes 50 Steam achievements, creating additional motivation for achievement hunters who enjoy fully completing smaller puzzle titles. Steam Cloud and Family Sharing are supported as well.
Full controller support is another useful feature, particularly for anyone who prefers playing away from a traditional desktop setup. Steam Deck compatibility, however, does not currently have an official Verified or Playable rating displayed for Puzzle Light: Connect, so its Deck status should be considered Unknown or Unverified rather than officially confirmed. The game is listed as Windows-only, although its extremely modest hardware requirements and controller support suggest that it is technically lightweight. Players specifically purchasing it for Steam Deck should keep the lack of an official compatibility classification in mind.
One limitation is that the experience is intentionally narrow. There is no substantial story, multiplayer component, open-ended puzzle creation, elaborate campaign structure, or extensive collection of alternate modes. Once the 50 puzzles are completed, replay value is naturally limited because the player already knows how the circuits are solved. This is therefore better approached as a concise puzzle collection than as something designed to provide dozens of hours of entertainment. Players looking for a deep progression system may find it too modest, while those who appreciate short and concentrated logic games are more likely to enjoy its restrained design.
The accessible rules are one of its strongest qualities. Many puzzle games introduce layers of mechanics that eventually become difficult to remember, whereas this game remains centered on a single recognizable goal. Connecting the pieces and seeing the lights activate provides immediate confirmation that the problem has been solved. This straightforward feedback loop makes successful solutions satisfying without relying on rewards, upgrades, or excessive visual effects.
Puzzle Light: Connect ultimately succeeds as a compact logic game because it understands the value of simplicity. Its 50 handcrafted stages provide a reasonable sequence of circuit-based challenges, the minimalist presentation keeps attention on problem solving, and the absence of time pressure allows players to work at their preferred pace. Its limited amount of content and relatively low replay value prevent it from becoming a major puzzle experience, but those qualities are easier to accept when considering its deliberately small scale. For players who enjoy logical connections, pattern recognition, and uncomplicated brain teasers, it provides an enjoyable and pleasantly focused diversion.
