Space Raiders in Space
Featured DLC
the GameSpace Raiders in Space is a wave defense roguelike based around 5 orders: Attack, Defend, Cower, Search, and Build. Command your almost competent crew to loot weapons and supplies, build defenses, and fight their way through the Bugpocalypse.
Construct Defenses
– Have your raiders scavenge materials from their surroundings and use them to design and build elaborate fortifications, hopefully keeping your crew a safe distance from the bugs’ sharp and stabby parts. With over a dozen defensives, there are many build strategies to explore.
Manage your crew
– Your crew is armed with enthusiasm and a bunch of weapons (assuming you have been looting), but not much intelligence. Issue commands to individuals or the group as a whole, then hope they know how to follow instructions. It’s up to you to tell them when to search, what to build, how to fight, and more. Or else they’ll all die horribly violent deaths, Probably that second thing.
Key Features:
- Simplicty with Depth – The orders you can give are simple – the strategies you can achieve with them are surprisingly complex.
- Challenging Maps – As you loot your way through the galaxy, the different locations you explore will present unique tactical challenges for you to conquer via clever use of weapons, fortifications, and orders.
- Unique weapons – Penetrating Crossbows, Slashing Swords, Armour-piercing Snipers, Crushing Hammers, and many more weapon categories, each with multiple tiers and rarities.
- Super Time Stop Powers – Pause the game mid-combat to evaluate your strategy and give orders. It will help, but sometimes the bugs are just too much.
- Tough Decisions – comic book encounters at the start of each location will test your sanity. We recommend you don’t look over the edge of the abyss.
- Danger Everywhere – Your crew are strong but can be quite fragile. Be careful not to let the bugs too close to them, or you may lose one. If they get knocked down too often, they won’t stand back up!
- Leaderboard! – reach the top 5 ranks on the leaderboard and be memorialized on the main menu for all to see!

Love the animation, combination of tower defence and RTS with pause. Plays very well and the story is actually worht listening to instead of skipping over. Well worth the money

Tower-defense.
A bit less static than some others.
There’s a build, repair, and scavenge phase, followed by a defense phase where you fend off alien hordes. Ideally from behind the barricades you built earlier.
You do that waves after waves.
There are occasional pseudo-progression of the map.
"Pseudo" because the map expands for scavenging and the benefit of the story, but the defense point remains the same. The tactic does not really evolve.
Characters can be controlled individually or as a group.
You can pause anytime to issue orders. An appreciated feature.
The narration is presented in a comic style, making it somewhat difficult to read, especially the main menu.
It seems wanting to be humorous. The corner of my mouth twitched once. I guess it was because of that.
There is a comics narration between maps with frames arriving one after the other. Ok... I quickly passed them all with frenetic clicks till I discovered the escape key was permitting to jump the entire sequence.
I played ~2 hours and no character died once. I cannot tell about the roguelike part. But it was a festival of achievements.
Bottom line, it is more casual than anything else. Not bad.
I do not recommend against.

Absloulely amazing. I loved every bit of this game and it's humor. More tower defense but you have a ton of freedom to build and plan. The problems I had there was a thing to fix it. Love the hell out of this game

I can't believe this game doesn't have over 100,000 positive reviews. It's a real gem.
Wonderfully accessible and fun. Brilliantly designed gameplay. Beware, though, that it's a bit unsuitable for kids- nudity and profanity, but u can turn off profanity.
U also need to be ok to configure keys to a gamepad ( quite easy on steam).
It's just resource management, defense building, then siege, then again and again. Story is almost annoyingly wacky, but is consistently entertaining.
Sometimes a game is so good u wanna keep an eye on what other games they made.
