Squad is a tactical FPS that provides authentic combat experiences through teamwork, constant communication, and gameplay. It bridges the large gap between arcade shooter and military simulation with 100 player battles, combined arms combat, base building, and a great integrated VoIP… Squad is a large scale combined arms multiplayer first-person shooter emphasizing combat realism through communication, team play, emphasizing strong squad cohesion mechanics as well as larger-scale coordination, tactics, and planning. It features 20 large open maps, vehicle-based combined arms gameplay, and player-constructed bases to create a heart-thumping, visceral gaming experience with split-second decision-making in real-world scale firefights.

10/10 game, love the iconic random squads you get into. Most servers are a friday night comedy club with a 40 year old divorced dad leading the squad

"Squad: The game where teamwork makes the dream work... or causes a total tactical meltdown."
Ever wanted to experience the thrill of real combat, shouting across a dusty battlefield, coordinating strikes, and driving vehicles like a pro? Well, buckle up... because you'll also be listening to Chad from Ohio yell “WHO BUILT THE FOB HERE?!” for the 47th time while you’re lost in the woods looking for the enemy that was "definitely just here like 2 minutes ago."
Pros:
✔️ Realistic gunplay that makes Call of Duty look like laser tag.
✔️ Voice chat that's either military precision or a comedy club.
✔️ Amazing maps where you'll die without ever seeing who shot you.
✔️ That one guy with a soothing voice who leads 8 randoms to glorious victory.
Cons:
❌ You’ll spend 20 minutes building a base and 4 seconds defending it.
❌ Walking simulator with occasional panic attacks.
❌ If your squad leader has no mic, may God have mercy on your soul.
❌ "Friendly fire is definitely off, right?" (It’s not.)
10/10 would respawn and immediately get blown up by an IED again.

Almost 900 hours deep at this point...
Basically a cycle of being clueless, running behind some guy with a green blip over his head, getting shot, completely clueless from where. Play a few hundred hours, become the guy with green blip over his head, still get shot, at least from the audio you now the general direction you got shot from, still can't find the guy.
Decide to play vehicle related role, learn where to hit stuff, now basically hardwired to know where the ammo rack for every possible vehicle is located. New player joins squad "do you know where to shoot?" "no" "from the front just shoot the driver window or gun mantlet, from the side shoot over the third wheel from the rear"; new player completely overwhelmed.
Try flying the heli, eat shit, die.
> see muzzle flash
> shoot at muzzle flash
> you just teamkilled ....
> play a round for 1.5 hours
> eventually stuck on some defence flag
> 3 voice chats with 8 people simultaneously screaming shit
> mortars, artillery, pain, eardrums left the chat
> end round, killed only 3 people, died twice
I joined some German server, forget Duolingo, I'm now fluent in Squad-German. My tinnitus is also definitely not service related.

Game is good but I only recommend to play with friends, also someone needs to tell meal team six it's just a game and to chill, if you're a vet of the game don't join noob friendly servers to just harass them for not knowing how to play, you're literally going out of your way to join new players.

get in game, spawn in, run for 30 minutes, die.
Wait 30 seconds to respawn, respawn, die
repeat until you magically end up becoming a beast for 10 minutes mowing down people like a maniac
die, wait 30 seconds, respawn, keep chasing the high from the last time you did something remotely useful, get spawn camped, die, lose the game
quit the game, wait 10 minutes, open the game again, repeat all above.
Best dying simulator
