Visage is a first-person psychological horror game. Explore a mysterious ever-changing house in a slow-paced, atmospheric world that combines both uncannily comforting and horrifyingly realistic environments, and enjoy a genuinely terrifying experience.

you can't pause to skip jump scares. you hit Esc and there's a 4 sec countdown to the pause menu. 10/10

A difficult way to explain this, but the weight of how you move around the world of this game just feels so on point. The world design and sounds are some of the most immersive you can experience. Wonderful puzzles and excellent exploration of the game throughout.
Can highly recommend this game for any horror game fan as this one is up there with the best of them.

God, this game is terrifying!
I say it from the bottom of my heart; I've played all sorts of games, but Visage is the first one that made me stop several times just to catch my breath, have a sip of cold water, and wait for my pulse to normalize.
The combination of deadly good sound design, slightly static but detailed and stylish graphics, and a compelling story creates a unique atmosphere of horror and despair. While there are scripted jump scares in some places, the main horror comes from things you don't hear, don't see, and don't anticipate.
I have some minor critiques - the game froze once, and I had to go back; the door-opening mechanics could have been better, and the puzzles, in general, rely more on observation than logic. However, setting aside these minor flaws...
Visage is (almost) a masterpiece. And now, after reaching the "good" ending, I'm going to change my underwear...

Visage was a very enjoyable experience as a horror enjoyer, and is very clearly inspired by the abandoned project P.T, the spiritual successor of the Silent Hill games that was originally being developed for PS4. Essentially, the game takes place within one large house in which the main character finds clues and follows several storylines. These clues are typically interaction based, but there are regular threats which tend to come in the form of the ghost each storyline represents. Currently there are 3 major 'ghosts', which can be done in different orders. The horror varies with each one, and will certainly pique different players interests depending on the subject matter.
The game is simple, and the horror is straightforward and regular, though I did encounter a couple of glitches in my playthrough - either certain events wouldn't trigger, reducing the horror aspect to frustration at those moments, but overall I really enjoyed my time with the game and can certainly recommend it at the price point I bought it for. I did resort to using a guide a couple of times - some progression items such as keys can be VERY small and hard to notice - the developers could perhaps point out some items better in places.
Pros:
Clearly inspired by good horror games, yet does its own things well.
Engaging storylines, particularly 'Lucy' and 'Dolores'.
Great pacing and as difficult as it needs to be.
It's genuinely creepy and the environments are imposing.
Very enjoyable exposition.
Cons:
The puzzles can be a little TOO cryptic in places, with items in particular being easy to miss.
Several crashes in playthrough, but at least the autosave is fairly often.
Expendable items are very limited.
The game is way too dark and there are certain points in the 'Lucy' chapter where this got outright frustrating trying to find my way around pitch black corridors.

Pretty scary horror game that tells a story of several family members. The atmosphere is great and a lot of play is with the light and dark, dark being your enemy so you always have to use your trusty lighter or a flashlight. The house also plays with you a bit and you will often see lights switched off or other spooky phenomena. The game is divided into three distinct chapters, each telling the story of one person and with a different playstyle. Overall I found it enjoyable, although sometimes you are left a bit in the dark as to what to do, but it's never too annoying. Good for fans of the genre.

True horror experience with no hand holding.
Play this game in the dark on your own in a quiet room if you like warm pants.
