Sinderfury
Hunt
Sin is the fire that fuels you, and the only way to get it is to track down the demons that are filled with it, cut out their black hearts, and consume them. The demons aren’t just going to let you though…
Explore
The world is dark and vast and what’s left of humanity can only lay claim to a tiny corner of it. If you want them to continue, you’re going to have to brave the nightmare-haunted ruins of the World That Was and face what lurks there.
Cooperate
The demons are bigger than you, stronger than you and faster than you. They don’t have anyone to watch their back though. Work together to overcome what one Sin-Eater alone could not.
Strategize
For each Sin-Eater to play their part in the hunt, they must be properly prepared. Choose your class, weapons, and armour. Choose which fragments of Truth you will inscribe into that armour, each will empower you with a different supernatural ability. Your hunt will need to carefully consider each challenge to succeed.
Craft
It’s not only the hearts of demons that you can make use of. Nearly every part can be made into tools to help you defeat the next demon. Shape them to your purpose and turn each kill into a part of your arsenal.
Adapt
Know your enemy, but first know yourself. Learn the demons’ strengths and where they are weak. Discover when to attack and when to avoid. Master every weapon, every move and every ability if you want to overcome every enemy.

Sinderfury is set in a dark fantasy atmosphere with dungeons to crawl through and bosses to die to. If you like ARPG's and have a couple buddies to play with, I see little to no reason not to try this game out!
Coming from the dark souls series I especially appreciate the combat style: The attacks feel meaty, but unlike in the souls games you never get stun locked by enemies. The balance between different weapon classes make the choice of one over the other situational, while still allowing favourite weapons to be viable.
I have played a fair amount of monster hunter in the past, and I was frustrated by its complicated crafting system, upgrading my gear always had me spend time not doing what I wanted to do the most: Beating the crap out of monsters. Sinderfury's combat is very close to monster hunter, but its progression is surprisingly simple in comparaison. This simplicity is what most of my favourite games share. It doesn't push overly complicated systems in your way, but still presents different ways to make your enemies bleed.
Another awesome thing about this game has got to be the soundtrack and voice acting. For this game's scale, this criteria is incredibly strong: The voice acting is clean and fitting with the theme/environment, reminding me of Diablo 4. Meanwhile the music is well crafted, especially in boss fights that light up in intensity to make the enemy more intimidating.
As of this review, I have solely been playing the early access version of the game, and thus of course I ran into bugs, but hear me out:
- Game-breaking bugs are absent: not once was I ever stuck, nor did I ever die or lose equipment for an unfair reason.
- The majority of glitches I ran into I wouldn't have discovered if I had not been actively trying to find them and report them.
I consider the overall quality and polish of this game to be totally playable, my only gripe being with the clunky inventory system. Apart from that tiny pet peeve, this game packs quite a bit of fun for $10, and if it isn't your cup of tea, you can always refund!

Just started. Had a hard time beating the boss in the first dungeon until i figured it out. Yet to beat the boss in the second dungeon but I am having fun so far.

Bought this game during Early Release. Very interesting souls like game from a tiny indie team. Clearly a lot of care and attention went into the details. The gameplay and controls were fluid. Combat animations were cool and varied for each weapon. Creature design is also interesting. That giant in the mountains .. like whut?!. Looking forward to exploring more of it.

This game can only be described as exquisite. As an absolute sucker for loot this game is heaven.
Lowkey turning into a inventory management game for me, with the amount of theorycrafting there is to your build in combination with the diverse loot stats.. ruh roh, I'm getting sucked in.

I feel both I, and the developers have only scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. The dungeons are challenging yet rewarding. The combat is immersive and fluid. The loot and builds allow you to get really creative and personalize your character to find unique approaches to every dungeon.
A challenging game that requires you to be 5 steps ahead at all times, or hop in with friends and hack and slash your way through. Either way, its incredibly fun and it's great to see a smaller indie developer team put out something so immersive. Looking forward to future updates and content!
