2MD: VR Football Evolution
2MD: VR Football Evolution is Live!
About the Game
More than 200 years have passed since the bombs fell, and the last vestiges of humanity were summarily and brutally wiped from existence.
Long after the cities stopped burning, and the toxic clouds of fallout had swept across the landscape washing life clean from the world once known as Earth, the dummies continued to play their game of gridiron football .
Over the decades, as the tackle-dummies perfected their game, they too began to evolve and to change; once they had been satisfied bouncing about ineffectually on the football fields of old, but as time drove relentlessly onward they gradually began to adapt, utilizing the now silent tools of war that drove their progenitors to their ultimate destruction. In time, they fashioned for themselves a new existence birthed from the ashes of a world long dead.
Clad now in aluminum and steel where once there was only vinyl and fabric, the players continue their game. Draped in the names and colors of teams whose meanings were already long lost to the ashes of time.
And still the play. A thousand metal fists raised in unison in a cold, heartless chorus of servos and motors rising like an iron phoenix from the rusted carcass of the world.
Their singular purpose now hard-coded into the soulless metal forms that carry them onto the field day after darkened day, driven by the same singular binary command that has fueled their gridiron obsession from the days before the world was dead: 01110100 01110111 01101111 00100000 01101101 01101001 01101110 01110101 01110100 01100101 00100000 01100100 01110010 01101001 01101100 01101100…
Become the virtual quarterback you were programmed to be.
2MD VR Football Evolution is a room-scale two-minute drill VR arcade experience where players take on the role of quarterback tasked with capturing victory in the final minutes of a game. Draw the plays, call the shots, and throw the ball to take down opponents before the clock runs out. Or Else. What began as a simple engine update has subsequently transformed . . . nay, EVOLVED . . . into an updated game build with an entirely new presentation but the same addictive gameplay.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I don't usually write reviews, but thought I would in this case. Really appreciate the developers making this game a free upgrade for those who purchased the original. Most areas have been greatly improved and the broadcast option is really terrific. I hope in the future it would be possible to make co-op or two player by allowing someone on a gamepad to control the defense and the VR person to control the offense. Then you could have a full game but it is really fantastic as is. Great Job.

I love this game... Former QB! The only ask that I have is a better animation for "caught passes".
Sometimes when I throw the ball directly over their head it is not at all obvious why there was a catch or a drop.
Also, it appears that some players drop the ball more frequently than others.

I think it would be great fun to play catch with someone online. If you can catch, that might make it for a great football sim.
I love this game!

I have only gotten an hour into this game (still waiting to get my own VR headset) but I will say this: the game is a lot of fun. In the practice arena, you can adjust your height, your throwing release point, and your throwing power. Takes time to find the right combo for you. I had fun just throwing the ball all over the practice field trying to hit targets.
In game is a blast too. The AI isn't realistic in the sense that they don't jump for passes or reach out to catch the ball. As long as you throw the ball in their vicinity you're fine. The act of throwing the ball feels good too. For the most part, it felt responsive to what I was trying to do (either gunning the ball at a receiver or putting some air under it).
Although the graphics aren't "realistic" it is good enough. This game has ruined standard football games for me now.
My one wish for this game...multiplayer. Head to Head matchups vs other QBs to see how many touchdown drives we can score would be a ton of fun.

Easily the most replayable VR game out there. If you don't believe me, look at the hours I have in it! Love this game and hope they add some more challenges or different modes in the future.

If you liked 2MD football, then you'll like this new & improved version. It has updated visuals. The core gameplay is almost exactly the same, except now you can easily scramble with your quarterback, either to buy more time in the pocket to make that throw or to try to scramble for the first down.
I think the AI may be better (not sure on that). The difficulty does spike up after the first few rounds. Keep in mind, this is 2 minute drill rounds. You have two minutes to score a touchdown to get to the next round. Each round gets more difficult with improved opponent AI and time going by a lot faster as well. You also get a bonus mini-round to max out your points in between rounds. There's a leaderboard for bragging rights.
I definitely recommend this game. The physics on the football throwing is pretty good. However, it does require practice to get accurate throws, especially on moving targets. Not only that, but you have to contend with looking over your O-line and throwing under pressure & calling the right play when you find the weaknesses in the defense.
Rate ?/10. I definitely recommend it. I won't score it because I haven't put enough time into it. I got a good sweat going in 30 minute sessions of playtime though. On the downside, my shoulder is starting to hurt now (worth it though).
