YIIK: A Postmodern RPG

Buy it. Play it. Don't look at any walkthroughs of the game, you'll spoil your experience. Don't watch any video essays, most of them contain surface-level analysis upon a negligent amount of misinformation. YIIK requires you to overclock your brain in order to digest all of the symbolism in the contrived storylines it gives you. If you can't do this, just leave out your bias and focus on how the game makes you feel. If you can't do this, it's okay, yiiking out isn't for everybody.

YIIK is a story about the worst outcome. It's about trying to move on from tragedy, and the many pitfalls that you can fall into. Despite its obvious inspiration on Murakami novels (and its stylistic similarities to recent Persona games) it's most similar to Welcome to the NHK. It's a really, really ambitious project, which is why it fell short on many things upon release. The final update, however, is 1:1 the creator's vision on it. Play it, analyze it, and learn to love being in YIIK.

Muy buen juego, tiene dialogos ingeniosos, los personajes son comicos y me atrae la historia. La musica y estilo grafico son asombrosos, y la onda Murakami me gusta.

YIIK I.V no es la redención de una obra vapuleada como lo han sido otros proyectos que se reinventaron para tratar de reconquistar a sus jugadores, es un poner el pie firme por delante y dar una patada para callar bocas, es el doble de raro con el doble de estilo, agrandando su historia no simplemente añadiendo pero reforzando los puntos que quería dar, todo esto con un diseño visual simplemente único y psicodélico, con un gameplay rápido que innova en los RPG de maneras que no encontraras en ningun otro lado.
