In this surreal Japanese-style RPG, when a mystery woman vanishes from an elevator in front of his eyes, fresh graduate Alex assembles a squad of internet misfits to investigate her disappearance. Tackle turn-based battles with a novel blend of twitchy minigames, weird weapons and weirder enemies.

  • This is without question one of the worst video games I have ever played in my entire life. It's pretty remarkable how YIIK fails so horribly at every single aspect of itself. The gameplay feels like it was designed as a parody of turn-based RPGs by someone who hates them, the story is both patronisingly simple and never elaborated on at all and I think Alex really speaks for himself.
    I truly love this game. Not despite of, but BECAUSE of those things it has an odd and unparalleled sense of profoundness that's very difficult to describe. I think I understand what YIIK is, what it tries to do, and what it accomplishes in doing so, but I have no idea. I think about this game more often than I think any normal person should, but it's absolutely an experience that'll stick with me for the rest of my life. PLEASE play it.
