Picked up a key for this, It's a decent game and universe has a lot more structure
I just wish these games would let you continue to access community creations after online multiplayer is shut down.
A really great 2k Wrestling game I prefer 2k24 but this is great

It's still the best game for modding and we are now through 2K24!
Plus, you can't beat the chain wrestling and the fact it is the last WWE with promos, even if they aren't great.

Still the best WWE 2k game, I'm here at the end of 2024 still playing it. Hope 2k25 is good lmao.

After a few years of stumbling through sluggish gameplay and underwhelming features, WWE 2K19 finally steps back into the ring with energy, style, and a clear love for pro wrestling. It’s not a flawless champion, but it’s a strong contender—and easily one of the most entertaining entries in the modern WWE 2K series.
WWE 2K19 ditches the overly slow, simulation-heavy pacing of previous installments for faster, more fluid action. Matches feel responsive and dramatic, with improved reversal timing, smoother animations, and more dynamic momentum swings. The introduction of Payback abilities adds tactical options like instant recovery or low blows, injecting more unpredictability into matches.
While occasional bugs and janky physics still crop up (this is a WWE game, after all), the overall experience is much more refined and fun—especially in multiplayer or chaotic 8-man matches.
This is where WWE 2K19 truly shines. MyCareer mode tells the story of Buzz, an indie wrestler chasing his WWE dream. Unlike previous years, this mode features full voice acting, actual branching choices, and a wild storyline complete with invasions, supernatural elements, and over-the-top drama that feels straight out of the Attitude Era.
It’s not exactly subtle, but it’s entertaining, funny, and loaded with fan service—something the series had been sorely missing.
Showcase Mode returns, this time celebrating Daniel Bryan’s legendary career—from his humble beginnings to his triumphant WrestleMania comeback. It’s nostalgic and emotional, with playable matches tied to real-life WWE history.
Universe Mode is deep and customizable, letting players control rivalries, promos, and storylines across multiple brands.
Create-a-Wrestler, Create-an-Arena, and Create-a-Title remain robust and community-driven, with thousands of downloadable creations that keep the game fresh.
WWE 2K19 looks good—character models, entrances, and arenas have seen polish. Some faces still fall into uncanny valley territory, but the improved lighting and smoother animations make a big difference. Commentary is still repetitive and robotic, though slightly more tolerable than previous years.
The soundtrack and in-game menus reflect a vibrant, more playful energy—highlighted by cover star AJ Styles, who brings charisma both in and out of the ring.
Pros:
-Fast, fluid gameplay that feels more like actual WWE matches
-Wild, entertaining MyCareer story mode
-Great return of Showcase with Daniel Bryan
-Massive creation suite and community content
-Improved visuals and match pacing
Cons:
-Some lingering bugs and awkward animations
-Commentary is still weak and repetitive
-Universe Mode still needs more narrative depth
-Online stability can be inconsistent
WWE 2K19 is a much-needed course correction for the franchise—fun, dramatic, and packed with content. It might not be a perfect game, but it embraces the over-the-top spirit of WWE in a way that fans can really get behind. If you’re a wrestling fan who lost faith in the 2K series, this is the one that earns it back.

This game was my ticket back into wrestling after i stopped watching it for years since 2011. The customization, roster, replay ability and modding scene have kept this game alive for me. I can absolutely say that this is one of the best 2k wwe games that they have produced.

The good wwe game. And truthfully, mods make the game great. The games does have it's faults, but overall, a fun game.

I've played 2k19 on 3 systems now (PS4, PS5, PC) - it's by miles my favorite WWE 2k game. Upon release, it was really buggy and crashed a ton, but after the servers went down, it was like a whole different game (hasn't crashed on me once.) It's still very playable, though content-wise it's a little outdated. Truthfully, if it had King of the Ring tourneys and some of the specialized match types, I would probably still be playing it because every release after this game has been disappointing.
