I just want to be honest here.
Pros:
- Literally a Spiritual Successor to TM2.
- The Game itself, Is Incredible!
- Vehicle Upgrades actually feel like an Upgrade.
- Dynamic Stages with Environmental Changes.
- Boss Fights, ARE, Boss Fights. They feel like a Threat.
- Great Quality for an Early Release game like this.
Cons:
- The character select screen Voice clips are just... bad...
- The mechanics are HERE, but feel REALLY shoddy.
- Weapons sound effects here are Terrible, Straight up.
- Weapons also tend to miss targets, even at Lock on & close up range.
- The Music should have 1 track called "Mute".
- Out of ALL places in the world, They chose "Florida"... cmon son.
- Feels a little TOO ambitious, & no one told them.
- ... Still better than any AAA game, especially going forward.
Overall: 5/10 (so far)
I Get it, This is an Early Released game. I get that, but There's TOO much going on at once here, & I pray that the developers work together to fix these issues in the future. This is just a 100% honest take. I will stick around to see what comes in the near future, but as it stands, I can only recommend this game for absolute, DIE HARD, DAY 1 Twisted Metal Fans. If you aren't, Then this may not be for you. However this game is FULL of passion & love from the devs, & as I result, I gave it a Thumbs Up!

It's super raw but I had fun playing this.
I'd say the main thing I dislike is that I feel like I HAVE to cheese the boss or I die.
One throw explosive barrels trough walls and another is a truck with incredible impact damage but you can't ever get on his as* because he turn like a NASCAR car.
I liked everything else about it.
Edit : I retract what I said about having to cheese the boss.
If you time your shield well you can totally win these fights without cheesing.

Very fun! Excited for more updates, especially the Roguelite co-op mode for 4 players. An option ingame would be nice to swap controls as well which I think is coming in the roadmap.
I switched most of the controls using Steam Input and the game feels a lot better and I think my friends will understand it a lot better. I put boost on L Trigger, Rockets on X, Handbrake on B to drift / turn. Shield is on Y and Jump is on A. This overall feels more modern and easy to play. A lot of other controls I just removed for now. The freeze and mines need a limit or cooldown otherwise you can just spam them which does not make for fun gameplay so I disabled their input for now.
