WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship
The WRC championship is the most challenging motor racing competition in the world.
With the new dynamic weather system, climatic conditions have true-to-life effects: rain and snowfall is now an important game feature as variable traction, different set-ups for each stage, tyre choice and shrewd use of the weather forecasting team all need to be considered.
The single-player Career mode has been rebuilt from the ground up: calendar management, R&D to improve performance, staff recruitment and management (mechanics, engineers, medical and weather teams, finance manager, etc.).
For multiplayer, weekly challenges and WRC eSports return, but the challenge and competition is now even stiffer.
With 50 teams, 14 rallies and over 100 special stages in the 2019 season, WRC 8 has the deepest content ever included in an off-road racing game.

Top-notch WRC game, significant enhancements compared to previous titles, exceptional gameplay and vehicle handling.

The game doesn't have the aerodynamics tuning section. I have no idea why it isn't there... my friend has the same game and his has it, other than that I enjoy this game

The AI has improved over the previous WRC titles. I have no longer found tracks where AI (Hard difficulty) is impossible fast or dead slow. Seems they have finally nailed the AI balancing.
Car Handling: Finally bumps matter on the road, so when you hit a bump at a wrong angle you can end in the shadow realm and if you hit it correct way you can take insane amount of speed into a corner and survive.
Overall Def recommended (Tho MP is dead unless you have a friend to play with and Servers are offline)
But for Singleplayer experience its well worth

I am by no means the right person to judge this game's mechanics and realism when it comes to controls, so for the average joe here's my review
Driving's finnicky enough where it feels real
career's questionable since the amount of micro managing required turned me away from it
either than that no real complaints?
cars in each group basically perform the same, extensive tuning settings from suspension to gear length
a good amount of maps with variety.
TLDR
worth the full price? hell no.
worth playing to waste time? hell yes

Compared to the previous entries, WRC8 recieved an overhaul.
Each car really feels like it has its own handling model, there are a bunch of new features added to the Career mode, such as team and calendar management.
Unlike all the other games, you will get the opprotunity to try out some iconic cars in career mode between championships, in form of single stages that reward you afterwards.
The cars are pretty much the same as the previous game, with the exception of a few special cars.
The handling takes a bit to get used to, but I have to admit that 7 had the best and had most fun with the handling there.
WRC8 also features a test area, which is effectively a free roam mode, which is nice.
Skill points, leveling and perks are introduced.
-The Lancia Stratos handles absolutely terrible. I understand the point of simulating an old car plus RWD but not being able to keep the car on the road without spinning out is insane. Had to restart a bunch of times on the Historic Event in Germany.
-Rain puddles can lock the car and launch it in a random direction. This is one of the most annoying things in the game, specially when rallying in France. Puddles do not affect a car like that in real life when driving on a straight road. They do not randomly send it like its been "force pushed".
-Penalties are way too sensitive. I understand getting one when accidentally going into the spectators or cutting corners but the fact that you get 9 seconds added for roll overs, resets and going off track is beyond frustrating.
-For some reason, after you reach lvl 50, you capped the experience points and cannot get the rest of the skills from the R&D tree.

This particular version of KT's WRC is actually really good, I have WRC 10, and was not a fan of that game at all, 8 has better audio by far and handling imo is better. Also my G29 works on Linux without issues, I couldn't map keys or pedals with WRC7 but this game it works perfect.
