英会話の練習に向いて…ないかも
■ストーリー概要
考古学者の父ヘンリーが行方不明になって早10年、
ある日ウィリーの元に父親の名で一通の手紙が届く。
父失踪の手がかりがそう遠くないボーン・タウンの
地にあると確信したウィリーは、準備もそこそこに
家を飛び出すのだった。
■システムとか
王道のポイント＆クリックAVG。
画面が暗いがブライトネスやガンマ値修正がないので
ドライバやモニタ側で何とかする必要がある。
字幕は喋るキャラの傍に表示されるタイプ。色分けも
されており、ほぼフルボイスなので把握はしやすい。
ただウィリー本人は比較的早口である。が、これで
のんびり口調だと進行がダレるので、仕方ないとも
言える。セリフはクリック一回で次に飛ばせるが、
あまりカチカチやっていると次の進行に必要な
内容まで飛ばしてしまいやすいの注意が要る。
住人らとの会話であれば大抵再度尋ねられるが、
バックログがないので最悪ロードになる可能性も
ゼロではない。(詰むというよりは、そうした方が
早いかも？、というレベルだが)
チュートリアルにもあるように、アイテムの
コンバインがちょこちょこ必要になるが、
クリックポイントの表示が可能なので、そこまで
困ることはない。ただ実績に絡んだもののいくつかは
ポイント表示がされず、真面目に探そうとすると
時間がかかるかもしれない。
こだわりさえしなければ全体で3～4時間くらいの
ボリュームなので、実績は2週目で回収した方が
効率がいいだろうし、実際そのようにした。
というか初回プレイは普通に結構取りこぼした。
日本語もなく作中ではいくつか手紙や本の内容などが
表示されるが、正直フレーバーテキストレベルなので
あえて長文を読み込む必要はない(と思う)。
海外ノリはあるが許容範囲であり、キ〇ガイ選択や
行動の類はほぼないので、投げ出すような難易度は
なく無難に最後までプレイ可能かと思われる。
逆に言えば尖った毒などもなく、凡百の内容とも
言えるので、セール時の購入を推奨。
週末や余暇の午後の暇つぶしのお供にでもどうぞ。
