Welcome to the land of Providence. The Wheel of Fate has chosen you to be its Avatar and save the world. Fate is the force that connects all beings, maintaining order in the universe, while an ancient enemy known as The Affliction thrives on chaos. As it spreads throughout the cosmos it severs the threads of Fate’s connection, turning those it infects into deranged beings known as The Fateless. And in this battle, The Affliction is winning. So, The Wheel of Fate must pull back its shroud and reveal itself in the land of Providence and choose an Avatar to act through; a champion to fight the Fateless hordes and find the secret to defeating the Affliction. You are that champion, the Avatar of the Wheel of Fate!

A mishmash of lots of good ideas...
It's a turn-based RPG with leveling, a skill-tree, and a myriad of weapons/armor just like Final Fantasy... but it has base-building and base-management mechanics as well. The game unfortunately doesn't have voice acting and the entire game (graphics, UI, artstyle, level-design, etc.) feels 'rough', which is usually indicative of a very small dev team, so those are 2 down-sides. But with all that considered, the real question is: Is the game fun, and is it worth $15? The answer to both those questions is 'sure'. It's not the best $15 game on Steam, and it's not the most fun $15 game on Steam, but it's 'fine'. The game currently does enough for me to recommend it, and who knows, in the future with a year or so of dev time the game might actually be very good and the 'rough' stuff I mentioned above can certainly be improved upon with time. So yeah, I can recommend it even in its current 'early access' state

I really liked this game. There was a glitch maybe where there were no descriptions for items or stats but halfway through the first part they appeared. It took a little bit for me to get used to the combat system but picked it up quickly after the first two or so combats. Other than that the game looked great and handled well. The music and story was pretty good as well. I would for sure recommend this. If you want to watch my play through check out the link below.

Wheel of Fate combines classic storytelling with interactive elements and cinematic cutscenes using a quest based progression. The gameplay is designed to allow the player to create their own story within the plot and to uncover the ancient secrets of fate and defeat the armies of chaos.
You begin your journey pursuing the army that destroyed your village into a forgotten town stumbling across your destiny as the "Avatar of Fate". You will find unexpected allies and learn the ancient magical secrets of the temple that will help you defend against the chaos that threatens to destroy the world.
Gameplay:
You control the hero as you explore this magical fantasy world populated with unique enemies and ever evolving dungeons.
With town building elements and resource management you can bring prosperity or ruin. The unique turn-based combat system requires you to master the skills of each of your party members and defeat your foes using strategic skill selection, hand eye coordination and precise activation to chain your strikes and reduce incoming damage.
The choices you make culminate in minor and major changes to the world once the "Wheel of Fate" is spun, so choose wisely! The diverse character races and the unique soundtrack bring you a bit closer to complete immersion in a world apart from our own. Due to the ever evolving plot and random events that occur due to the choices you make in game, Wheel of Fate also offers a great deal of replay-ability and is fun for all ages.

It feels incomplete but has lots of potiential.
It has a day night system that seems to be purely cosmetic, same for the weather system. there is only 4 locations in the game, Town, Forest dungon, sewer dungon and temple dungon that continously changes.
The town buildings get damaged ridiculously often.
the crafting system is finicky and doesn't work.
on rare occassions monsters spawn in walls.
you have to exit and load to spawn quests on ocassion.
The world feels slightly empty like the docks.
It seems to only have 1 chapter of main story.

I played it a little bit and planned to finish it, it's the type of game that is not revolutionary but makes the effort of proposing a chill and fun game, buy it if you want to support a indie game

Let me start this off by saying that while there's both good and bad, my overall experience with this game has been really fun and positive so far.
From what I can see, this game is a turn-based RPG + Dungeon Crawler + Touch of Roguelite. Interesting combo for sure, but one worth exploring!
The good: Are you a fan of timing mechanics from Mario RPGs? If you are, then you are going to ADORE the battle system in this like I do. At the moment, you don't have to worry about MP or anything like that, rather how effectively can you time your button presses for your skills? The loot system gave me plenty of options in battle where my skills just weren't covering it, such as a boss battle where I was definitely in over my head. Pop a few stat potions I found on the way, and while it didn't become easy, it became doable!
It was still a half hour boss fight, which I can't say about many RPGs these days. :D
The music and some visuals are pleasing, especially the battle tunes! I also enjoyed a lot of character customization options.
The bad: I ran into a lot of bugs. Most were manageable but two left me scratching my head or having to revert to a previous save. Keep in mind that I'm playing an early build and have scouted around on their Discord, and to my delight they're taking bug reports seriously! The only real complaint that I feel that I have right now is that the user experience needs the most work. Tooltips to explain what some things are would be useful, but I'm rather certain that's going to be fixed soon.
Overall? It's far from perfect, but Wheel of Fate certainly isn't bad. It's a game that I'm going to certainly be visiting often.

I only have about 12 hours in this game, but many more to come. Thoroughly enjoyed "watching" this game come together on their Twitter account. It has been a long year of watching, but it is finally here. WHEEL OF FATE though very early access is a fantastic RPG / Rogue-like world of fantasy. Excellent art direction and music. So much to do being so early in development.
Combat, quests, exploration ---->> if you are an AVID RPG fan --->> Buy it, you won't be disappointed. Just remember, this is very early access. Devs listen to feedback and patches are already coming!
