In Wasteland 3 you take command of a squad of Desert Rangers, lawmen and women in a post-nuclear world, trying to rebuild society from the ashes. More than a century after the bombs fell, you’re fighting a losing battle to keep your beloved Arizona alive. Then the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado radios, promising aid if you'll do a job he can only entrust to an outsider—rescue his land from the ambitions of his three bloodthirsty children. You’re dispatched on a desperate quest from the scorching deserts to the snowy mountains to start from scratch, building a new base, finding a snow-worthy vehicle, training new recruits, and fighting your way through hostile frozen wastes. All the while, you'll have to decide who to trust in this land torn apart by corruption, intrigue, warring factions, crazed cultists, cutthroat gangs, and bitter sibling rivalries. Build a reputation for yourself by making decisions that will profoundly impact Colorado, its inhabitants and the story you experience. Will you be Colorado’s savior or its worst nightmare? Wasteland 3 is a squad-based RPG from inXile entertainment, featuring challenging tactical turn-based combat and a deep, reactive story full of twists, turns, and brutal ethical decisions that will keep you hooked whether you’re a Wasteland veteran or new to the series.

TLDR - Good, but unpolished. The game is a solid tactical RPG, but doesn't do anything special.
Lets start with the positive:
- Amazing Soundtrack, especially in the Steeltown DLC
- Quite funny dialoge here and there
- Fun combat (on lower difficulties)
- Fitting atmosphere and aesthetics for a post-apocalyptic Colorado
The negative:
- Skill check system, at the start of the game you struggle with everything while from mid-game onwards you just can do eveything
- Non-sensical ending, at least for the diplomatic "good" ending". The antagonists just surrender with a simple skill check. While it's nice to give the player the option to solve the crisis peacefully, there should be NO way that those hate fueled, mass murdering NPCs just give up because of one half assed argument
- Theres a lot of cut content noticable

Good game overall!
The story is genuinely enjoyable, I never quite knew how to make the right decisions, but I'm satisfied with how things turned out expect the bizzar man the bizzar why.
Everything you do in this game has a real impact on dialogues, outposts, and even the region you’ll see. Your choices, missions, and interactions all come together to shape the world. Some of your Rangers might bail on you if you make certain choices, and that’s what made the story and interactions so enticing. I really had to think everything through from an RPG perspective before deciding what felt right.
Combat can feel a little off, though. My rangers were sitting at around 300 HP while some random dude in his underwear or even a chicken had over 1,000. The fights basically turn into a “kill them quick before they kill you” scenario. In a way, it makes sense: real gunfights don’t drag on for 20 turns, they’re over in a handful of moves.
Still, it feels strange if you’re used to other turn-based games. You can have a tank with 90 armor at the end, and yet he can’t survive more than two enemies unless they’re wielding pea shooters. Maybe it was the difficulty setting, or maybe that’s just how the game is designed. Early on, you feel waek and it’s bizarre seeing Rangers deal 50 damage to a 500 HP enemy while they down you instantly if you’re unlucky.
Despite those quirks, I had a blast with this game and enjoyed every minute I spent playing. Who knows, maybe I'll pick it up again someday.
My recorded playtime on Steam isn’t accurate I was offline for about a month, so it only shows around 10 hours or so. But trust me, I sunk way more time into it than that!

Sehr atmosphärisch mit überraschend guter Geschichte. Alles gut ausbalanciert.

Kaufempfehlung!
