Solid entry to a somewhat bloated genre. If you liked Star valor, starcom, etc, then this is for you. I actually found the visuals and controls better. Combat feels crisp and explosions are satisfying. Love the sandbox option as well and I with games like starcom had a more open-ended gameplay loop like this. I haven’t experimented too much with other ships but I saw that there were additional ships available for purchase and even a fleet tab neither of which are mentioned in the description of the game. I think these features should be highlighted even if not completed to show the depth a little more because there is definitely more than just a basic top down space shooter here. 9/10

I agree with the negative reviews, but I think it's necessary to support developers who are trying. The game itself reminds me a lot of Space Rangers and that's only good, it has potential if the developers will devote themselves to it and they need our money for that.
Item comparison is a must have!!
Sector map - i find it :) but it will be much better if there is some key for that instead of go into tab - sector map?
And especially some life in the sector
For me is really too easy craft items - i have too many orbs and dont have problem craft op items.
Please make game paused in shops etc...
I understand that many people stop enjoying it after a while, but there is always something new to discover and an effort to improve.
Despite all the mistakes, I hope that the game will improve and reach the wider public

Enjoyed 8h co-op session day 1. No crashes so far - good stability and decent fun with friend.

While it gets monotonous after a few hours, had a hard time getting myself to stop playing.
:Some ideas for devs:
-- allow up to 3 ai fleet ships to follow and attack with you, could fully equip them each, since the game has co-op up to 4, thought this would be fair to solo players.
--armors that protect against certain types of weapon
--homing module that effect primary or secondary weapons
--rare modules you can only get from the black market, or defeating bosses.
--hangar drones that use your ability's modules, basically when launched would send 4-5 drones that deal moderate damage and give them a high cool down
--ship parts/research from bosses can combine into a ship that you would need to purchase but it has huge ship stats, also would having the maximum number of modules.
--when crafting show the different kinds of upgrades an item can get

Edited because of day 1 patch that added and fixed things.
TLDR: Overall 7/10 RN for me. Super fun game-play. Should be marked as EA. Needs work, developer knows that, and is doing the work.
The long.
Bought the game within 30 seconds of it going live. Started streaming it within a few minutes of that. Played for 4 hours before realizing I need a break. Game is fun! The developer dropped by the stream and was actively asking for feedback. Had a good conversation about the future of the game. I feel confident good things are going to happen in this game (more than they already are). Game definitely needs some work. It should be an Early Access game. But the good outweighs the bad IMHO.
Positives:
1) It feels like a good twinstick shooter at its core. It even takes me back to those old scrolling plane games a little. Just drifting though space blowing up enemies and looting away.
2) The world feels alive. While I wish this was a player driven economy like Albion Online, the world does have a NPC driven economy. You can follow traders on their routes, visit mining regions rich in upgrade mats, or even stumble upon smugglers running a route. It feels alive.
3) Coop actually feels way better than solo. Solo is still FUN AF, but rolling around with friends is just better. And the coop experience was great. No lag, not a single disconnect. 3 hours of perfectly working coop.
4) Combat feels good, not repetitive. Yes, you fight the same 3 factions on repeat (at least so far), but the encounters are very random. Enemy fleet comps aren't identical. Bases are defended by different groups. Even better, it feels like combat in space. You drift around when you lose thrust. You need to lead moving targets. It feels good, and I look forward to fights.
5) More combat. The skills you get (via ship parts / upgrades) are super fun to use and swap around. Different combinations on different ships lead to wildly different fights each time.
6) Gear grind feels good. I haven't had to waste time just farming for upgrade mats. There is a TON of gear out there. Enemies drop it, shops sell it, quests rewards it, all the standard RPG things. But remember how I said the world feels alive. The economy does too. Some areas have tons of mats for sale. Others have nothing but weapons. Each region feels like it deals in a specific trade.
7) Developer actually wants to make changes to the game to make it better. Actually wants player feedback, and is already working on implementing the things players are asking for. Dude hung out in my stream for hours. HOURS! Asking questions, listening to feedback. Asking follow ups. Sharing his vision forward. This game is going places. Bro has been working on it as a passion project for 5+ years. In his free time. And it's this good already. I am waiting for the supporter pack to not be on sale, to give this guy more money.
Negatives: (all were brought up to the Dev, all were acknowledged, all were said to be being worked on).
1) No gear quick-compare. Makes it take a long while to sort through gear. In a game that does NOT pause when using inventory, that's rough. I got killed by a random asteroid cause it took me so long. (Dev is aware and adding it).
2) Need a better mini-map and system quick map button. Right now you have to bring up your inventory and tab over to the system map. (Dev seemed interested in adding zoom in/out to the mini-map as well as adding a quick-key for the system map). EDIT: Dev added map update within 5 hours of receiving feedback. Now have a system map hotkey for fast easy access.
3) All explosions seem to be identical. It isn't a big deal, but some variety would be nice. Go on, add the spice of life.
4) We need an out of combat movement speed increase, or a "sprint button" for out of combat. Something to just 'fire up the afterburners' and get around. Disable it when fighting starts, fine, but we move so slow for getting around for a ship with a hyperdrive...
5) While the flying around in space feels good, the crashing in space does not. There is no real 'impact' feeling. Get rammed into by a meteor? Kinda spin a little. Smash face first into another ship?! Both just stop and... kiss. I know it's space and sh*t just kind of flies around, but it would feel really good to have some impact physics of some sort.
6) We need some sort of 'marketplace' or 'trade' system. Being able to trade items in coop would be HUGE. All loot is individual, but why cant we drop cool stuff for our friends? It's still level locked. (Dev is working it).
A world wide market place would be even more sick though. Being able to trade and craft with tons of other 'single players' would really help the world feel alive even more. (Dev likes the idea, but acknowledged it would be quite a task)
7) We need a buyback option from merchants. It sucks to accidentally sell too many of something and have to spend 10x what you got to replace a few you wanted to keep.
That's about as good as I can sum it up. The game really is a blast to play. It needs work, but the Dev has the heart and drive for it. I just wish I had more friends to play it with.

Great game, enjoying it so far. Looking forward to new additions like item compare, click to move etc. It is a good start for a solo dev on a new game.
