Edit
The worlds have been shattered, and you have been exiled to one of these shards. The time has come to return to Ardania and seek vengeance on those who cast you out. Battle through the fractured realms inhabited by other exiles, hostile Mages and terrifying creatures. Once back in Ardania you will face your greatest threat: The United One and his four Vicars. Conquer all who oppose you, reclaim your home and take your revenge. Warlock 2 is a turn-based strategy game of fantasy warfare. Rival against Great Mages, lead mighty armies into fierce battles, wield ancient magic and faith as your weapons. Experience the challenge in single or multiplayer. Play the new "The Exiled" mode or enjoy the game in the Sandbox mode.

This game is pretty good. What makes it better is the Renaissance Mod made by Chumley that requires all the DLC in the game, making this game 500% better and more epic.
NOTE: Crashes happen if the game is on an XL Sandbox Mode map with multiple realms. Be warned!

Very replayable. I have 2055 hours to date. The game has quit saving or loading saved games, so I am hear to re-boot the game.

This game needs to be released with a current update with current technology. The fact that Paradox Games released this program with an editor included really opens the game up to managing everything from Papyrus to almost anything you can imagine. Great game with versatility and a crap load of fun.

easy one of the best games ever. not as good as part 1 . but still good.

Great game,
master of magic but everthing is better. This game is way better than Master of Magic 2022.
I liked the addition of a "campaign" to beat the 4 Vikars, it kept me motivated to explore all of the shard worlds and Ardania. Though the campaign is really linear and plays the same each time, so only the first time it is interesting.
I'd suggest to disable the victory condition where you win if you eliminate the other great mages (I won "on accident" there in the first play trough).
The controls are a bit clunky and overall the game takes some real time to play (several days for one playtrough), but I think it's just great. All the different spells and terrain altering spells you can get, the different units and unit upgrades, summons, superunits, loads of enchantments are really interesting to explore.
Good game.
If you buy all the expansion packs you might want to install the "Renaissance mod" right away (before first playthrough). It seems to be really awesome.

NEED TO KNOW INFO UP FRONT:
A worthy successor to the first Warlock game. I won't rehash my review there, but it should be noted that to really get the most bang for your buck you will need to add the DLC. On top of that you should strongly consider the Renaissance Mod to add a substantial amount of zest to your world
I am doing the rest of this review based off using that mod, so take a little bit of salt.
PROS:
If you are fan of the Majesty setting (Ardania) then you will love this game, just like Warlock 1
Plenty of new structures and units to work with (after modding and DLC)
Neat new game modes that make you come back to see what you can get away with
Achievements are enabled for this unlike the first game
Workshop is enabled for this unlike the first game
Spells roster is very robust, still in-love with the terraform spells to drastically alter the map to your favor
A lot of new faces to the Archmage rosters, love roleplaying as a magical emperor
The leveling system is very crucial, even more so, in this sequel, take full advantage of it
Heroes are funny and interesting, plenty of the first game ones return with an updated roster
CONS:
Vanilla game is basically just like Warlock 1 before DLCs and Mods
A few bugs that can CTD, that are NOT mod related, recommend just keep reloading for it to go away
Airships are still a bit lackluster, even after the first game
OVERALL:
A very worthy inclusion to any RPG or 4X gamer library.
