The worlds have been shattered, and you have been exiled to one of these shards. The time has come to return to Ardania and seek vengeance on those who cast you out. Battle through the fractured realms inhabited by other exiles, hostile Mages and terrifying creatures. Once back in Ardania you will face your greatest threat: The United One and his four Vicars. Conquer all who oppose you, reclaim your home and take your revenge. Warlock 2 is a turn-based strategy game of fantasy warfare. Rival against Great Mages, lead mighty armies into fierce battles, wield ancient magic and faith as your weapons. Experience the challenge in single or multiplayer. Play the new "The Exiled" mode or enjoy the game in the Sandbox mode.

This game is pretty good. What makes it better is the Renaissance Mod made by Chumley that requires all the DLC in the game, making this game 500% better and more epic.
NOTE: Crashes happen if the game is on an XL Sandbox Mode map with multiple realms. Be warned!

Wonderful game, if you like warlock 1 this is just that but more. The only real downside is that most the world is split up via portals instead of being one giant map.

Please make Warlock 3, theres been no new fantasy 4X which keeps fights on the main world map and doesnt zoom in to a separate map. This game is so fun and diverse and has more content than the first one. I bet Im not the only one who wants Warlock 3 or at least a remake of either one. Renessaince mod is a must for Warlock 2 as even the highest difficulty is quite easy once youre past the start. I recommend playing the game vanilla first and then installing the Renessaince mod for more and new content as well as higher difficulty.

Warlock 2 The Exiled is a charming & satisfying turn based fantasy wargame
I highly recommend it to those who like fantasy strategy/wargames
I play the sandbox mode which places you in a randomly generated world. You can set various general conditions... your leader & race... world geography & size... difficulty & victory conditions
There is also the excellent Renaissance mod available on the workshop which is literally a full expansion pack adding races & tweaking gameplay

Age of Wonders 4 for smaller price, with a different combat system and blazing fast save / load times. AI is challenging to this day. Must have if you like 4X (tip: install Renessainse mod, the game becomes even better).

Unfortunately, the gameplay is VERY slow, especially as you progress into a game session. Which is rather off putting for many.
(Chances you'll spend many long hours and much effort and wont find half the units available for one race) the first game had a rather faster pace to it.
This said, it's still a pretty good game, definitely had fun with it, single player sandbox is very reminiscent of Heroes of Might and Magic, so that's a big plus, its not Ubisoft, so that's another big plus.
Recommended, just be patient tho.
