One of the best PvE-Koop Game. Skilled Gameplay and everything good balanced. You have to work as a team in order to suceed and this makes the game very great. Casual Gameplay with low grinding factor and easy learning mechanic allow family and friends playing togehter

_ Pay to Win?

The gameplay loop is remarkable.
The voicelines are hilarious.
The game feels really good (the sounds, the movements, etc)
The music is insanely good.
The devs are still giving it love even after many years.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a masterpiece.

Quickly became one of my absolute favourite games that I keep returning to thanks to its coop mechanics actually requiring teamwork, and introguing combat system combining action with a surprisingly depth of tactics, in which each weapon plays completely differently, and in which a single enemy grunt can be a lethal threat if underestimated, but at the same time you can take on entire hordes. The game is easy to lean but has a very high skill ceiling. Thanks to 15+5 classes, tons of maps (and they continue to add more!) and a lot of randomisation within maps, different weapons, and finally different gamemodes, the game offers near infinite replayability.
I suspect with the changes over the time, the game is no longer as newbie-friendly as it was when I started playing: The keep changed a lot and no longer has the same homey feel, as they had to make space for the new gamemodes, and these extra gamemodes probably feel very strange and overwhelming if you aren't used to the basegame. The plot of the main campaign is diluted by the different gamemodes and extra maps. But this is just speculation as I don't have this experience myself.
