Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus

Das Spiel schafft es, eine wirklich überzeugende, einzigartige Atmosphäre zu schaffen, die mir die ganze Zeit über sehr gefallen hat. Den Soundtrack muss ich in der Hinsicht auch spezifisch nochmal loben.

Das Gameplay hat mir viel Spaß gemacht. Nicht langweilig, aber auch nicht mega-komplex. Ich werde das Spiel definitiv nochmal auf einer höheren Schwierigkeit spielen.

Was die Texturen angeht ist das Spiel grafisch zwar nicht beeindruckend, aber der Stil lässt sich sehen und an dem habe ich auch gar nichts auszusetzen.

Die ganzen Settings in anderen Warhammer 40k Spielen, mit Fokus auf die Space Marines finde ich eher langweilig, aber das hier ist echt nice.

Ok it is round based. But not so strikt as Ufo or so.
You can use all your actions in one turn at least if you can afford it. most actions for equipment have to be Payed in points. But if you chose your equipment wise ly you can mange it after a few rounds of trail and error. So walk shoot walk again strike in close combat...
It is not easy the enemys are like usual better in some ways and more much more than you have.
You have an exploring part. mostly before the first fights that alter the frame of the fight
if you look at all you can the enemy have time to prepare.
But you may get benefits too but more in hightend reward for a harder battle.
the reward is more like a kind of mutiple choise tests mostly one per room.
like you find something strange:
A: ignore it B: analise it C: Handle it acording to protocol
Or press Button A or B or ignore that strange xeno device
Right get reward wrong get something on the mechandrites
if you like round based strategy it is a clear yes.
The talking between missions is a bit boring you have to read text while some beeping sounds are played cause tech priest are talking binary so more like an old modem.
style is ok soundtrak fits. no Vids so nothing for people looking for polished mass drugs.
I get it on sale solid game but the difficulty is like usual off scale.
but if you like to fight alsongside hopless skitari with techpriest that barly as good as the average imortal.
at least up to lvl 10. sure they got a few things more they can do bur your hp buffer is just to low.

Tolles Spiel! Es hat ein wenig gedauert bis ich so richtig "rein" gekommen bin. Wenn du wie ich unterbewusst vielleicht ein X-Com mit Warhammer40K Skin erwartest ist der Ersteindruck vielleicht etwas enttäuschend. Auch vermitteln die ersten Missionen nicht wirklich ein Gefühl welche taktische Tiefe das Spiel im weiteren Verlauf anbietet. Ich kann aber nur empfehlen dran zu bleiben. Nach ein paar Stunden entfaltet Mechanicus eine großartige Suchtwirkung. Ich hatte jedenfalls unfassbar viel Spaß und freue mich jetzt umso mehr auf den zweiten Teil.

You will need 2,3 hours to get into it, after that is a great game which allows hop in and out without making you worry about needless stuff. Start the game, do mission or two and that is that.

Replayability by several difficulty sliders looks good. Will come back to it in time for sure :)

Wer Rundenstrategie und ein paar Rollenspielelemente mag der ist hier genau richtig! Und Natürlich Warhammer 40k ist immer geil!

Nice game to play for a weekend.
Tactical but still easy to understand.
Just wished it had a bit more story.

The best roundbased home invasion game I´ve ever played, the music is ok ,I guess.
