Gladius Prime was known to Imperial scholars as a planet of archeological interest. During its colonization ancient relics were found, revealing hints of a shrouded past. But it was more than relics. Something awakened, an unspeakable horror from an ancient past, and the citizens of Gladius found themselves trapped in a terrible war for survival. Gladius Prime was once a planet of peace. Now there is only war. Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War brings you to a world of terror and violence with the first turn-based 4X strategy game set in the Warhammer universe. Face challenging AI or cooperate or compete with friends and strangers across the globe. Play as one of four iconic Warhammer factions (Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orks or Necrons), each with their own unique playstyle and technology tree. Explore a randomly generated world filled with special features and threatening wildlife that can crush your troop's morale.

Played multiple matches both pvp and co-op with friends.
The experience felt balanced so far. But when you play pvp for the first time and don't know what exact units to research/ build to get the most out of your faction, or underestimate the power of hero units, it can be very one sided.
What I like most is the speed of the game and its focus on war.
- Rounds are completed very fast as soon as you learned the basics
- Can be played simultaneously
- No half-baked diplomacy mechanics (unlike many other 4x games, which have unbalanced or uninteresting diplomacy mechanics that I usually turn off anyways)
Suggestions to players:
- Turn off quests (otherwise you'll constantly fight quest enemies instead of your actual opponent)
- Disable simultaneous turns when playing pvp (to avoid that your enemy exploits the overwatch mechanics)
- Try to get some early research going, otherwise you might feel like your options are way too limited compared to other strategy games
Negative points:
- Doesn't allow auto-disabling simultaneous turns as soon as players encounter each-other
* If that's important to you: Get the game Zephon instead (same dev; Feels like the same game, but without the Warhammer franchise)

You wanna stop but you simply just can't. The base Faktions are all different and all need a different kind of playstyle. Overall it is a really uniqe experience that stands out among the other Warhammer Games
