Developers are actively working on the game (the development has slowed, but that's due to geopolitical conflicts + pandemic; - there is a high chance that the community itself will push the speed of the development - DEVs are trying to make this game as much community-based as possible)
Community: 9/10 Highly helpful & active - there is a lot going on (mainly on the English official discord server)
Game-play: 8/10 - though the improvements are on the way
QoL 8/10: missing rebinding of keys - however, DEVs promised to add this feature
Community-led development: 9/10 modding/ map creating is yet un-tapped field with a lot of potential
Visuals: 9/10 - still improving, I personally absolutely love the visuals
Theme: 10/10
Uniqueness: 10/10
Potential: Extremely high

Competitive: there needs to be some work done
Overall: if you want to play RTS - this is a way to go.
I am personally leading multiple WS projects - and have to say - it is quite interesting to work alongside the current roster of community and DEVs.

Game requires better new player tutorials. Most people who come from age of empires or similar games can make do and learn by playing, but people who are new to RTS games can't and they get stomped.

The Abstract Free to play nation has no weakness but also no strengh.

Example.
Germany has very strong units but they are very expensive.
Germany has no anti air until endgame.
Abstract has no super arty, but arty is very cheap.
they got much sooner.

Germany can easy be counterd by air from abstract.

All nations can be earned ingame.
You can pay for them but you can also just unlock them by playing the game.

great game, spend whole time yelling at other team in english while they type back in russia or chinese and rampaging through the map with elephants with fucking machine guns on them.

War Selection is one of the best entertainment pieces of the 21st century. It is one of the most revolutionary games I have seen and completely changes the way you view reality and shifts your perspective on life. To sum up all that's been said, War Selection is an incredible game and it's a must play especially with its zero dollar price tag!
