VR Archery
VR Archery is an exciting fast paced arcade / shooting gallery style game that delivers on a truly immersive approach to experiencing archery in virtual reality.
Please note:
This is an indie (independent/solo) developer game, so the level of quality and graphics is lower than that of most commercial games. Your feedback and bug reports are strongly appreciated and will quickly be used to make this a better game.
Play through several arcade style shooting galleries, after completing a tutorial level that will guide you through the basics of how to play VR Archery.
This game also features a defence (capture the flag style) level, and a practice level.
For playing in VR, you will require a headset with 2 controllers.
Oculus Quest 2 users: Make sure to install the Oculus app for Windows, futhermore, you will need to put on your headset and ensure that you have clicked the blue button to “Enable” Oculus link from within your headset.
Oculus link allows you to run this application on your PC, taking advantage of your PC’s hardware, and be able to view and hear the game through your headset. You can connect your Oculus device by either a USB-C type link cable or setup Air Link. For best results the official Oculus Link Cable is recommended.

I played this little free beta on the Quest 2 via SteamVR and think it has lots of potential! The gameplay is smooth and menu selection is easy enough. I also appreciated how the sound of the targets appearing is dynamic, so you can quickly hear where a target that appears off-screen is (but this doesn't seem to apply to the Space level so much that I could tell).
What it needs: The biggest problem with this game is that the bow's angle is only controlled by the bow-holding hand. The arrow-holding hand isn't factored at all into the bow angle; once you nock the arrow, you can move your bow-holding hand anywhere you want and the arrow will point in that direction, even if your rear hand is all over the place elsewhere.
Another change I would make would be a quick toggle for handedness. I wanted to alternate between my bow-holding hands, but I had to keep awkwardly going into the beginning tutorial midgame to do so.
The game modes need a ton of more customization, like picking a max number of rounds per session, etc. There is only one game mode, which is currently sort of a gentle, re-doable time attack, but I wanted more time to practice certain shots, so I'm hoping that there will be a "zen" game mode in which targets do not leave if they haven't been hit for a while; each target would stay up for as long as it takes until you hit it, and you would pick a time limit (X minutes of archery, customizable by the player) until the game ends and you receive your total score then.
I think targets should count if you hit them while they're retracting!
I'm assuming that there will be more levels, hopefully with farther-away targets, and with some targets lower than the player's position (like if you're at the top of a building or cliff, shooting down).
It needs more sound effects, like a nocking sound, etc.
The bow is... massive. It would be nice if we could choose smaller bow sizes.
That's about it. Despite these issues, I would still recommend at least trying out this title.

Before I played VR Archery, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good

Eh, it was okay I guess. You have 3 maps and 1 tutorial level. You shoot bow & arrow. It's okay maybe. I would say that The Lab - Archery is much better and also free. But this is also free, just nowhere near as good.
Rate 5/10. Very close call, almost gave a negative. I wouldn't really recommend the download. I've played worse archery games though.
