Stepping up from VEGAS 17 to this had a number of improvements including some more shortcuts to functions that took some time to figure out. Definitely a consideration if you're looking for video editing software.

I used Vegas Pro 11 in my childhood. Now I decided to buy this as a replacement for Davinci Resolve (and as an upgrade from Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum, and I'm not dissapointed). It makes use of Intel QSV and performs decently. It has some special features like scripting, nested timelines and Sound Forge support. It also comes with the essentialFX pack from MAGIX ($199 MSRP) which can be used in the other apps.
Sure, it has its fair share of bugs and crashes, but my experience has been positive so far.
