Gameplay-wise, it's better than the first game, but the bosses still need to be beaten in a sketchy, cheesy way. The new class, grenadiers, is a nice addition and opens up new strategic options.
The story isn’t as strong as in the first game, but it’s still fun and engaging enough to keep you interested. The main characters are well-written, though the side characters are kinda meh.
If you had fun with the first one, definitely give this a try.
