Valfaris: Mecha Therion

Valfaris Mecha Therion ist der dritte Teil von Steel Mantis Vroll Reihe. Für jeden Teil, hat man sich einem anderen Genre gewidmet. In diesem Fall ist es ein Klassisches Shoot em Up.
Grafik: Schnörkellose Retro Optik die auch aus einem Metal Cover stammen könnte. Ein sehr schöner Stil mir gefällt er gut.
Sound: Für den Sound ist hier wieder sehr gut gelungen, die Songs stammen von Curt Victor Bryant der Mitglied von Celtic Frost war. Es sind schöne Metal Riffs die zum geschehen passen.
Gameplay: Das Gameplay ist im Prinzip ein Shoot em Up was durch die Nahkampfwaffe eine Defensive Option erhält. Es gibt 3 Arten von Waffen die Sich Upgraden lassen und die für unterschiedliche Dinge gut Sind. Es gibt auch Defensive Module mit Passiven Funktionen.
Balancing: Das Balancing ist gut gelungen, zwar sind nicht alle Waffen und Upgrades wirklich Gut, aber insgesamt haben Sie doch alle Ihren zweck. Die meisten sind aber nach dem zusammenbauen der beiden versteckten Waffen einfach die schlechtere Wahl. Was ich gut finde ist das man mit New Game+ alles machen kann auch die ganzen Archievments da man auch auf einem leichteren Schwierigkeitsgrad einsteigen kann. Was mir deutlich besser als in dem Vorgänger "Valfaris" gefällt sind die Checkpoints diese sind äußerst Fair gesetzt.
Fazit: Ein kleiner aber feiner Abschluss der Vroll Trilogie. Das Spiel richtet sich an Retro Fans mit Metal Vibe wie schon die ganze Reihe. Mir hat dieser Teil und Slain am Besten gefallen ich freue mich auf weitere Teile.

This right here, like Valfaris is a masterpiece, i am beyond impressed how well the 2.5D worked out, i had so much fun in the game and the soundtrack is godlike. The overall setting is great and the atmosphere overwhelming. You can feel Therions hate towards his father, i rate this METAL/10, keep making good games like this, you can eat my money all you want. I will gladly give it to you. Suggestions: I would like to see a game mode where we can control the game ourselves, no automatic level progress, move around like in Valfaris and Slain. Just for the free movement feel, SPOILERS AHEAD: I can see on the endings reprise there might be a 3rd game or a dlc (Which would be awesome) which is to be expected by such a masterpiece. Also noted NG+ is already implemented and higher difficulties for the insane who love these type of games.
Maybe one day... we might evolve to make this game into an actual shooter or 3D world like game. I mean i can see that, this game series has really potential, i might be dreaming too much there.
However, this game is a masterpiece and i thank you for this amazing product, to be honest, the Valfaris Saga inspired me growing long hair again, embracing my inner spirit.
This game even made me wanna do workout, i ain't joking.
Again, thank you and keep making good games! Also big shoutout to Curt to make the music, he is really talented.

Honestly, when I heard of the genre change to shmup, I expected this game to be more of a little gimmick than a real successor of the first valfaris. However, I was wrong.
Overall the game still feels like a real Valfaris. In many ways, this feels even better since the 2.5D graphics really enhance the overall spectacle compared to the first game.
Don't skip on this game because you think this is just some lazy side quest.

Haut rein wie der erste Teil. :-) Ich war erst skeptisch, ob fliegen statt laufen und hüpfen (wie im ersten Teil) gut sein wird, aber das ist es!

Habe Valfaris: Mecha Therion 3 mal hintereinander durchgezockt der vorgänger gefiel mr auch sehr gut klasse spiel an sich
