Greetings Adventurer!
In Vagabond, you will have the opportunity to explore vast procedurally generated worlds and meet their numerous inhabitants. You start in the middle of nowhere with no memories or possessions. It’s up to you to forge your destiny, become a famous treasure hunter by searching dangerous dungeons, the best blacksmith in the whole country or a benefactor by helping the villagers who need you. Who will you become?
Blending elements of traditional role-playing games with the freedom of sandbox-style games, Vagabond is a unique experience. Moreover, you can share your adventures with your friends as Vagabond was designed from the ground to support multiplayer.Features
- Create and customize your character
- Explore procedurally generated worlds and travel across many different biomes which have their own riches and dangers
- Visit cities and meet hundreds of NPC who have a lot to offer: they can teach you new skills, buy or sell you goods or tell you the latest rumors. And if you feel good in one of the villages, you can buy a house and become one of the villagers
- Complete quests to help locals and earn rewards
- Fight monsters in dungeons and get rare treasures
- Gather resources by chopping trees, mining ores in caves, growing crops and killing monsters
- Craft items such as armors, weapons, meals and furniture
- Buy and furnish your home
- Share your adventures with your friend with networked multiplayer (through LAN or the Internet)

Vagabond is still under active development, many new features are coming shortly:
- Magic with spells, magic wands, wizards and alchemy
- Guilds with news quests and game mechanics
- Lore generation to provide a history and legends to each world
- More locations to fill the world such as castles, temples, ruins, etc.
- Better dungeons with more complex structures and new types of rooms

The Foundation for a fun game is there. In Vagabond you create a (Human) character and then venture out in a random generated World. There are City´s with NPC´s, Caves and Dungeons. Some Npc´s have random Quests to offer and there is some sort of mainstory. Everything you do in this game levels a certain skill. If you cut down trees you level gathering etc.
The game is early access so the dev has some time to make this game somewhat unique - like a small Skyrim.
Here is my opinion on the game:
- Crafting is already fun. There is farming, smithing, alchemy, enchanting and a lot more to do.
- The first time you are entering a town feels a bit like playing a tiny version of skyrim. You can sneak around, lockpick into houses (with some sort of a minigame) and steal stuff. If you get spotted Guards will try to arrest you which is really cool.
As of right now i would say that people need more stuff in their houses to steal, to make it worth playing as a thief.
You are better of when you cut down some trees and sell that wood. You are making a lot more money this way.
- There are two Guilds in the game who you can join. (Mages and Thiefs) You can do quests for them and rank up wich is really nice. I hope we get more of those aswell.
- A game like this need a few more races to play as. Right now you can play only as human character and all Npc´s in the World are also Humans. This is boring. Give us some races and a little background on them.
- Traders need more items to sell. If i have six towns on my map generated and every smith sells a bow and some leather shoes, there is no need for exploring those towns. Some shops in different towns should sell different stuff so it gives you some sort of reason to get there. Which could be very well combined with different ingame race´s ( This dude is selling only this stuff and those creatures selling only those things etc.)
- Enemy´s in this game as of right now, are way to easy. You only have some trouble when you start the game. But with the first copper axe you get you can simply clear anything on the map and in the dungeons. There is no need for buff food or potions.
- Combat is okay i would say. Bows need some sort of target assist and we need also enemy´s with ranged weapons. Maybe we get some sort of skills and dodge or block mechanic in the future? I dont know but i hope so. Would make the combat way more fun.
- The world map is too small for my opinion and to empty. A rpg world like this would profite from some random encounters or events or some special locations, like a wandering trader etc..
Give the game a go when you like things like farming and rpg stuff. As i said before the foundation is good for this game and it is fun to play it. But there is loot more that need to be done to make this game stand out..
