I got this for $3 so it's a bit hard not to recommend for that price. A few dollars more and I wouldn't recommend it. It's a solid game that unfortunately suffers from bad frame pacing and crashes (crashes that can happen by accessing the online server which can be done by accident). I've tried every trick I know of to get a completely smooth frame rate but it seems impossible. The game engine doesn't respect variable refresh rate technology. The visuals are good, not amazing, just good. The cars feel good to drive. The tracks are fine I guess. My biggest issue is the uneven frame pacing. Because of this, I've uninstalled the game and moved on to the far superior game - Dirt Rally. I have a lot more fun with that one.
tl:dl - Okay game for $3-5. Buy Dirt Rally instead, especially if you find it for $10 or less.

It is a good game if you know what you are buying.
If you want a sim rally, buy DiRT Rally 2.0.
This is more arcade style title, which doesn't make it even a bit worse, especially for the price.
Just don't buy the DLCs, they are overpriced and worthless. You will have plenty of cars to buy and rallys to unlock. The 25% gain in money earned in career, a booklet about racing tracks and a bunch of cars are not worth it.

Great fun.. reminds me a lot of CM Dirt 2 but without the immersive music ...

Even without the online components the game is pretty fun, since it was (seemingly) never reliant on such things. The handling is a little slidey but it can be satisfying to pull off a corner correctly once you're used to it, although overall it feels like the road is always covered in a thin layer of ice. Graphics are beautiful and it's optimised so well, I rarely ever dip below 100 fps on the highest settings, and I'm only running a 2060S! The career is pretty decent too, the overall goal is to gain trophies from huge championships that randomly appear once you've won enough, so it's a nice game to kick back and pop a few stages every now and then.

Underrated simcade racer with very satisfying driving physics. The car selection, while missing some classics, features many underrepresented cars across many eras. Tracks don't try to be realistic, they are diverse, look great, and most importantly, are very fun to drive on (although I do wish the game had more Extreme-Khana tracks). Buggy class feels much more arcadey and less satisfying than the rest, but it can be avoided the player desires.
Unfortunately, to prevent game crashes, you have to avoid any multiplayer features such as the leaderboards and online career events, since the game's servers have been taken down, but contrary to some other reviews, as long as you avoid the online features, career mode works as normal.

Only reason i'm giving it a thumbs up is because i got it in sale at 80% off, which is the only way i would recommend to purchase this game.
The game isn't really bad, but it's not good either. As someone who loved V-Rally 2 and 3 this doesn't hit that note. Career mode is very meh, would compare it to Dirt 4's. The physics are kinda weird to get used to but not awful.
Also that sun glare is dreadful

Ignore bad reviews. This game is EPIC!
It's a straight up arcade rally racer with loads of cool cars both new and historic, before buying any DLC whatsoever. There's a range of cool rally game modes with different types of vehicles including hillcross supercars. Locations span across worldwide.
The handling is very smooth and simple much like Sega rally while also needing a degree of precision.
Graphics are sharp and beautiful, especially particles. The in game music is not that bad.
It cost £2.50 on sale down from £25, you can't miss it.
