Experience a new chapter of Tyranny, the critically-acclaimed role-playing game (RPG), in Bastard’s Wound, a new expansion that builds upon the game’s compelling story. Tyranny, an original RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, invites the player to make their mark on a world conquered by evil, and the Bastard’s Wound expansion opens up a new area of the Tiers where refugees from the war-torn world have established a haven in secret. Delve deeper into the mysteries of Terratus as you bring Kyros' justice (or your own version of it) to a new corner of the Tiers. In addition to the new region, Bastard's Wound gives you a chance to learn more about your party in a trio of companion quests featuring Lantry, Verse, and Barik.

I wish there was a "mixed" option.
The content in Bastard's wound is not bad. It gives some interesting lore, a few nice sidequests in a new location. Those are fine. It has companion quests - for Lantry, Barik and Verse - and some additional content for the remaining companions. Great, sounds good.
There are two major problems:
- this looks like it should have been in the base game. The companion quests that is, the additional city not so much, because without them the game does feel like it's missing something (I played the game first without the dlc)
- there are bugs of the "old school" type. Now I played it fine without the game breaking but I did read a guide beforehand full of helpful suggestions such as "Do Not Ineract with murals before getting a quest about it otherwise the entire dlc questline breaks" and some similiar things about order the quests must be done with to work.
I am very close to giving a negative review but, frankly, I liked the quests and I can forgive gamebreaking bugs if I like the plot.

I love playing Evil in video games. I won't pretend it's always my canon, but I usually love me a good mix of moral grey and a play through of pure evil. It's fun! The DLC does not like that viewpoint, most of your content is geared to Good players. Most people prefer that play style anyways so I understand why the devs did that but it's a note for sure. If you play as a Kyros abiding Fatebinder you are cutting out the vast vast majority of content for yourself.
This DLC is fairly buggy(and feels like it more so for Evil players due to lack of content), to the point of breaking things outright. Along with that it is very clearly meant to be played in Act 2(I tried in Act 3 mistaking it as end-game and a non-linear story of sorts). As a result it feel wildly nonreactive in general.
I liked the concept that Bastards Wound handed me with the groups I was trying to navigate. As with the base game there are multiple endings intended for multiple play throughs for the curious player.
Barik, Verse, and Lantry all get expanded on and gain companion quests. Only them and usually you'd expect that sort of thing in the base game and with all companions. I like what I got, but I won't pretend it doesn't feel off to be so specific and paid for instead of being a base game. The content itself expands on them well and is interesting but give no outstanding buffs or anything.
If you get it bundled or on sale, I'd give a thumbs up with the assumption you like Tyranny as a concept and want more of it. Otherwise give it a fat skip!
Generic pro-tips for the interested:
-Save often in different slots. Just in case
-Play in Act 2-ish
-There is a cave with murals on it during several points of the game. Do NOT touch it. A very common bug will cripple the play through, not letting you look at them multiple times(if you need it, of course)
-Lore is an great skill to have as always

I just completed this DLC and didnt encounter any bugs, maybe I was lucky (I went there with a party of Eb, Lantry and the beast woman, on the rebel path), I liked the story and twisted ways things evolved

First off, I think I found no bugs while playing this. Once I started playing, and for some time afterwards, I expected to encounter jankiness, bugs, and/or instances of clearly unfinished content, but I was left searching for those for quite a while because the DLC, at least for me, worked the way you'd expect. I have to add that if you plan to play a certain way, then there's a bug that will leave the DLC fully unfinished, so I would recommend searching how to avoid the bugs in Google (there's a post I found just in case I needed it).
On the content side - the DLC is divided into two parts. The first one is you visiting the Bastard's wound and dealing with the problems there, and the second is the new companion quests for Lantry, Barik, and Verse(idk if this was a case of main content pushed for DLC considering it's published by that demonic company).
Bastard's Wound content is alright imo. The funny thing I noticed is how it starts, and in usual Obsidian fashion, you get a letter calling for your help. Overall it doesn't add new content to the gameplay side, except for being able to push buttons from afar, and it doesn't bring new companions. It mainly is a new questline together with new areas to explore, and I have to say the new areas are just oldwalls dungeon(which for me were very boring and uninspiring) and a settlement with new NPCs. The main quest is about helping the people of Bastard's wound and overall I thought it was alright, I was particularly invested in it, but it had some interesting moments.
About the new companion quests - I don't really have to say anything because companion quests are always fun and interesting.
Overall I enjoyed Bastard's Wound even tho it didn't bring anything new to the table and the DLC adds new companion quests so together both make a nice DLC. I'd say get it on sale.
