my complaint about this game: and nobody to play with. i have loved this game since it was shown to me by a friend 20 years ago. We used to throw down on this game between bouts of Halo LAN parties back in the day. its a combination of Puzzle fighter, and a vertical shooter, that has overly cute and nonsensical,graphic style. the cuteness i believe is so fights do not break out among competitors. once you u understand the game mechanics, and have someone to play with, its super fun, and escalates quickly. basically you shoot stuff to cause chain reaction explosions. they catch enemies, and create "attack characters" and send disruptive objects to your opponents screen. there is a 3 tiered meter that builds up, that functions as an offensive resource, to force spawn attack characters. catching 3 Orange+Green blinking attack characters in a chain explosion spawns a Boss character on the opponents screen. fully charging a level 3 meter will force a boss to appear on opponents screen. these can be hard countered by opponent, causing bosses to b reflected back and forth under a hailstorm of fire. There is a panic button, a screen clearing bomb, that grants brief invulnerability. Each character has unique flight properties, charge attacks, attack characters, and Boss summon. Absolutley give this ancient Neo Geo game a chance. DM me if u wanna play. i love this game

A little rough around the edges and it seems to not run very well on the steam deck. Although I think its okay on sale its got a few different characters. A story mode and some other things as well.

Pretty tough shmup battler, mostly because frames dip severely when a lot is on the screen.
I'm stuck on Mevious on Easy, and I'm not a pro on this gametype but I'd imagine eventually that I could've beaten it.
I'm just not built to be a Twinkle Star Sprite.
