(THIS IS IMPORTANT! DO NOT... UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES... LET YOUR CO-OP BUDDY TOUCH THE PORGON!!!
IF SHE TOUCHES HIM... The game locks. You can't continue. There is no cutscene and you better restart that level AND DON'T LET HER TOUCH HIM!!! Better yet, KICK YOUR friend in the game itself and THEN approach Porgon... Unless you want to keep re-doing the level over... And over... And over again.)
Welllllll... This game is alright. It isn't overly hard... At all... It's almost... Relaxing.
You slowly get other attacks (maybe just two) and you also get "Assists" -> those you summon... There is a mini-game... Collectibles... And several levels/Bosses to work your way through.
I hadn't watched the series, so I don't know if the story is loyal to the cartoon or not... So let's talk co-op.
If you want to feel important -> play the hero. Anyone who plays the secondary character... This is how a friend of mine described it: "I am playing an expendable character. It doesn't matter if she dies or not." Non-Hero characters also can't summon Assists and are mainly good for getting a few extra hits in and making teleporty portals.
If you don't have a co-op player... You are only missing out on some damage and teleporty portals.
The insignificance is like this: You can just run through the level as a Hero / Dodge Boss attacks and make your "Co-Op buddy" a sacrifice. You can retain ALL your lives, seeing as your "helper's death" doesn't even freaking matter, and they will gain all their health back ... Within a few seconds.
If Hero dies... It Checkpoints you... If you die on a Boss... It keeps going... You don't even restart the Boss fight... o.O
Like I said. Not bad, but... Could be better. Bugs could also be worked out and uh... What goes into the "ITEMS" bar exactly? All the items I acquired went into "Inventory" and "Assists" into their own category...
Ho hum...
Not bad, just... Alright. Thanks!! :> :)

if you like side ways scrolling games, with jump timing being important... like mario brothers games, then this game is for you. I struggled in the first five or ten minutes with just trying to jump a tall truck. I was very frustrated, and finally figured it out before ending and deleting the game. and it is nice that it returns to the ledge you fall from instead of the beginning. yay! so, there's that, but no going up down, just left/right/slide/jump on the keyboard, so far as I've found so far. it has some extra games in the troll town which was a surprise and kind of fun. :)

Trollhunters: Defenders Of Arcadia: Showing four ways to misspell BASIC. Luckily, I am easy to please--hence the thumbs up.
