triblock offers simple tetris gameplay, but it's much better than I expected. the rule, as always, is that 3 or more of the same thing will disappear, and the 60 puzzle levels, unlocked one at a time, require a lot of thinking ahead and planning, as you have to create certain shapes there. diagonals also count, so some of them will be really tricky to pull off. infinite mode is the other option, starts with only 3 columns, but speed, board width and tile variety keep increasing.
unlockable bonuses serve as a somewhat unique selling point and they work in infinite mode as well. for instance, solving 20 levels gives you 'double block', meaning a 2x combo will create a single-use power-up to be activated any time and give the next block 2 of the same tile instead of the usual 3 different ones. 'triple block' works the same way, unlocks after level 30 and obtained with a 3x combo.
it's important to note that combos only come from cascades, not by simply matching 2x3 tiles at the same time, and the doubled/tripled tile will be chosen at random as well. since you'll need these for more complex shapes, the best way to go about it is to get a power-up before anything else, so you can see which tile you'll need to use.
the presentation is simple but looks fine, music is okay too, if a bit repetitive. various tilesets are available, compiled from freely available icons. despite my love of all things food (except raisins, they can burn in hell), I found the halloween tileset the best. the others are either too colorful to identify pieces quickly, or have multiple tiles with the same color (e.g. fruit has lemon, banana and pear, all yellow).
keyboard, mouse and controller are all supported. controls aren't rebindable, but they pop up here and there to show what's what. I played with keys, pressing down only speeds up movement, doesn't drop pieces immediately, just the way I like it. separate volume settings, resolutions and windowed mode, plus english and russian interface are available, but only from the main menu, pausing the game doesn't even give the option to restart the level.
don't let the cute presentation and slow gameplay fool you, it'll take some effort to pass some levels. I gave up around the halfway point, it started to get frustrating, but I'm only a casual tetris player, with as much skill as patience (close to none). the game was a pleasant surprise though, definitely recommended for such a low price.

Cool vegetables. First 10 levels are easy. Next levels are make you start thinking.
